My brother and his partner were told they couldn't have kids, his partner has/had endometriosis and as a result of different operations they were told she couldn't have children.

Because her case was so complex she has very regular check ups with her specialist, she had one not that long ago and a couple of days later they got home to find an answer phone message saying she had to attend an emergency appoitment the next day but they couldn't discuss the matter over the phone.

Joe and Joy went into the hospital crying thinking she would have to have more operations on her womb and came out crying because she was pregnant!

I'm fucking made up for them.

Fab news mate, congratulations! x

I must be turning into one of those gays, I'm made up for them and am probably more excited than they are.

I was told by my brother at about 21 days I think it was but I wasn't even allowed to let on to his partner that I knew.

I've been wanting to tell everyone but promised I'd wait till they had the 12 week scan, they've had it and all has gone well.

Haha! I found out with Anna at around 25 days, arguing with a consultant that all the tests must of been wrong (for the same reasons as your sister in law) weekly scans and blood tests awaited.

Your family must be over the moon, welcome to the longest 6 months of pregnancy you'll witness!

Like you wouldn't believe, far too early for scans but blood tests indicated.

Apparently they use more than one 'score' from your blood test result. All theirs were going very well, especially considering her problems and how soon it was.

Then the cunt of a GP she see's said as one reading was slightly lower than the specialist would like to expect the worse and never get their hopes up again.

Joy's specialist is currently going down the disciplinary route with her GP.

Great stuff. Myself and my wife had fertility issues too so I can totally empathise. Makes it all worthwhile when the little one arrives.

In saying that, my three month old got sick all over me this evening and, annoyingly, all over my watch. I'll be a month picking it off.

Congrats mate, Im an uncle and its as good as it gets for me at the moment... all the fun with little responsibility! Just a stern look whenever I say something in front of him my sister doesn't like. I take credit for his footballing skills, and one day he's gonna be the hardest lad in his class cos I'm teaching him wrestling too! He's only 4.
