Sunday night telly that reminds you of going back to school

Songs of praise makes me want to burn things. With both fire and acid.

I once convinced a Bristol school dinner lady called Lynne that I was a vicar and then shagged her on the steps to the old Mayfair club in Newcastle. She said I looked like Zodiac Mindwarp and that was that.

Great knockers.

The mere mentioning of The South Bank show makes me cringe, couldn't even tell you what it was about. This is as good a juncture as any to reaffirm that school is in fact absolute shite, and not the best days of your life. Everything I've done since school has been better than school, always hated it, always will.

Sunday Night At the Palladium.

Even at a young age I used to wonder what Kenny Lynch actually did, and basically his mates Tarbo and Brucie would shoe horn him onto stuff like this.

Royal Command Performances were always on a Sunday as well, shite they were, though I remember Elton John being on once doing "Crocodile Rock" (which was good) and Telly Savalas being on singing "Who Loves Ya Baby" ( which wasnt).

Fucking hell, Sunday Night at the London Palladium, the 1960's version. That takes me back a bit. Lenny the lion, Pinky and Perky not to mention the likes of Cilla, Sandie Shaw and the rest. Twas the height of light entertainment.

Amen, it's the only place other than prison where you legally have to go. When I went to college and realised I could leave anytime I wanted, it was amazing.

The reason I liked school was because I just arsed about and did fuck all mostly getting away with it. I would absolutely hate being in school these days where everything is regimented yet kids are bigger twats.
