I think Smith should have got booked for that unecessary shove on the German player that had to leave the field.

Suso can't get in the game, Wolfsberg are tradionally German-like - strong, very organised and make it tough for the opponents.

Wisdom has been superb so far. Wouldn't be surprised if Morgan is the game changer off the bench.

Wolfsburg have doubled up on Suso, Sterling and Silva really well. I think Morgan's movement could well be the key here.

Very flat going forward tonight. I'd have Adorjan and Morgan on for Suso and Ngoo in the second half. I'd also like to see Silva and Sterling switch wings for a bit.

We could have, and perhaps should have, taken the lead in stoppage time.

First Morgan was denied after a nice through ball from Sterling put him clear, but the Wolfsburg keeper did well to force him wide, and his effort was cleared off the line by a back tracking defender and out for a corner.

From the corner, Coady had a header stopped on the line by the man on the far post, and unfortunately for us, the ball ended up in the keepers hands and the threat died out.

Full-time, 1-1. Probably a fair result if truth be told.

Much better second half showing.

Adorjan is on for Suso.

Only watched the second half, so didn't see how Suso played. During the half time break, Claire Rourke and Neil Mellor talked about how Liverpool struggled to make any inroads, citing the lack of movement and urgency. The above substitution meant that Liverpool still had a player with excellent technical ability in there, but where Adorjan has an edge on Suso at present is the level of urgency he brings to proceedings. It looks like that urgency eventually paid off, and could have reaped greater dividends at the end.

I had high hopes for Suso but he's another Pacheco I reckon.

Pacheco was always a good player at reserve level, Suso only ever plays well in fits and starts even at that level and just isn't progressing. Adorjan's a better talent for me.

Borrell might have finally lost patience with him after hauling him off at half time.
