Skinner is a grossly underrated comic, one of the funniest comedians we've produced in the last 30 years. Naturally funny, naturally sharp like Paul Merton, there aren't many around like that.

 

He is sharp.

 

I prefer him now to his younger days.

 

As for Baddiel - has he ever been funny?

Skinner is a very funny bloke. Baddiel is a good foil, but he has a really irritating voice. He always used to sound like an annoying student when he was in the mary whitehouse experience. He still sounds the same.

Was listening to Marcus Bridgestock talk about him yesterday and he said he's the only person he knows who seems to think in fully formed jokes. He said, as a comedian, he has something very special in the way he thinks.

 

You'd probably like the podcast it was on actually, it's called The Comedians' Comedian and is stand-ups being interviewed, opening up and talking about experiences and the art of comedy.

I especially want to see the episode in the first series where they do a mock up of the demolition of The Kop by staging a demolition of Statto’s kitchen, with Jona Lewie singing “You Will Always Find Me In The Kitchen At Parties” in the background? Does anyone here have that? Be great to see that episode again. And maybe the first couple of episodes too
