C'Mon we all know they will find decent players before the window shuts. That loss will make them so much better. Reguardless of what's said Arsene is a fantastic manager and defys all odds. I for one won't be writing them off. Wenger said in his interview what he needs and because of what happened yesterday will make him address it.

I don't think people are writing them off so much as they're saying they're shite at the moment. They are very shite at the moment. 3 games, 1 point, 3 red cards, 2 goals scored 10 conceded.

Maybe they'll bring in some top players before the window shuts in a few days, but from the look of it Wenger is offering daft amounts, or swap deals. I can't see three or four world class players coming in. They need that many.

Not writing them off, no, but they've got problems and the fixture list is relentless plus Internationals. So no time for recovery. Not much time left in the transfer window either and too much reliance on youth.

Things change very quickly in football today's villain is tomorrows hero and vice versa. If we had employed Wenger in the 90's we would probably have had 3 more titles and a refurbed stadia/new stadium.

He has fucked up, with the weakening of his squad, although I will leave it to the Arsenal fans who know far more about what is going on to pick the bones out of their current situation.

Can't write anyone off after 3 games and when the transfer window is still open as well. Form is only temporary, class is permanent and they have some excellent attacking players who would walk into any premier league side.

Who? Which attacking players would walk into City's side (and which of Aguero, Nasri, Dzeko and Tevez would they replace?). Van Persie is sporadically talented and overrated, not to mention broken most of the time.

Wenger says a lot of things to be honest. Unless they spend wisely over the next few days it could be a long season for Arsenal.

Already 8 points behind the mancs and City with a goal difference swing of 18 goals. They will not win the league. I know it's only 3 games in but we certainly have the edge over Arsenal and Spurs because with the transfer nonsense going on at both clubs for the last 3/4 months, they still don't know what players will be at the club come the next round of fixtures.

Plus, you know once they start getting knocked out of the cups, and they will, they will fizzle out to seasons end.

They will have a strong starting 11 when everyone is fit but they are ill disciplined and will suffer suspensions and their captain seems to miss large parts of the season through injury. Odd decision to give him the arm band I think.

If we sign Coates, the only positions where we could be short is center forward and on the right side of midfield and that is nitpicking about the right side as Kuyt, Maxi and Henderson will do a good job there and formation is always important.

Those ugly cunts Stoke up next, win there and it will have been a quietly strong start to the season for us. Arsenal have 2 handy games coming up, Swansea at home and Blackburn away. Anything short of 6 points there and it will have been a complete disaster of a start for them.

Wenger said in his interview what he needs and because of what happened yesterday will make him address it.

After 2-3 years of flattering to deceive for 2/3rds of the season then completely capitulating when the pressure's on from February onwards, it takes yet another bumming from Man Utd to make him realise "what he needs"? Even the most brainless pundits (and that's quite some number) realised long ago that they needed quality and experience in 4 key positions - keeper, centre back, defensive/tackling midfielder plus an out-and-out goalscoring striker.

Gervinho may well address the last one and Szczesny has promise, but there's hardly anyone in the squad with the same mental strength and leadership as the likes of Adams, Petit, Vieira, Bergkamp, Henry etc. As soon as West Ham were relegated, Wenger should have been straight in with an offer for Scott Parker, but now it looks like he's off to triffic Tottenham. Even someone like Kevin Nolan or, whisper it, Joey Barton would have given them a bit more drive and bite in midfield along with a bit of support and guidance to Wilshere and Ramsey.

They're still a far better team than the majority of the Premier League, but with our current improvement and them already playing catch-up after only 3 games, I think they could be struggling to make the top 4 this year and may not make it out of their Champions League group. I wouldn't write them off completely at such an early stage of the season, but they've some serious problems to overcome before they can get back to being a genuine, consistent threat.

They're in bits.

Manager's lost it, best players gone, no team spirit and no discipline. Their transfer activities would make Parry and Purslow look like professionals.

Any team in the division should fancy their chances against them now.

Take out Vermaelen, Wilshire and Van Persie and they'd be relegation fodder.
