Yeah, the double kit was excellent, as was the 1987-88 one. 89-90 was, erm, different. The Adidas equipment kits were mega turd.

They were shite - those big horrible thick stripes.

 

I love the 3 stripes just normal down the arm but those equipment kits took it to too far...horrible.

Anyone who likes the retro shirts take a look at the retro range in the club shop. I have a few of them. Plus with them being thicker material are good when it is a little cooler.

Their version of the Istanbul shirt is poo, though. Everything else is alright.

Officially unveiled this morning. It's the same shade of red as the current kit (a good thing) and while not exactly the blueprint for what a good Liverpool kit should look like (the current one nails it in that respect), it does look leagues above the fare trundled out by most clubs. The only things I would have changed would be to have the LFC and 96 badges in gold instead of white.

 

 

There is a new bespoke template for name and numbering for the cup games too. Miles better than the current one which has been in use since the bad old days of the Hodgson era.

Yeah, it's a massive difference really.

 

Unbuttoned the way Bobby has it in the unveiling it's ace. But buttoned up the way Mo and Lallana have it ... well, it makes them look a bit like they're a bit slow or that their mother got them ready for school or something.

 

Hopefully most of them will wear it unbuttoned. If we're going to win the league in this kit it needs to be a good one.

Generally a nice top, but no need for any white stripes for me. Just old school solid red.
