Barton has accepted he was at fault and has now received a severe punishment which it appears has been fully accepted too.

Matter over.

Why though has nothing happened to Aguero, Kompany, Lescott etc for the sort of snidey child like systematic provocation we have to endure week in week out from supposed professionals?

There have always been players who react to provocation with their fists. St John used to do it decades ago. He'd have been off every week if he'd had to put up with the level of underhand provocation of today.

Only just read since my last post that he tweeted that he didn't see the red mist after the sending off but intended to provoke a city player's dismissal at the suggestion of a team mate in order 'to take one of theirs' with him.

There were plenty of takers but noone saw red.

What a load of bollocks the game is sometimes.

You're just looking silly there.

Tevez can wind up, definitely. Those three? you're on another planet mate.

Aguero - zero winding up from this little fella. Model player.

Kompany - can get stuck in, and a bit fierce in the tackle sometimes. Wind up merchant? nah

Lescott - just can't see it

If you want to try and pick out players who might push the buttons of other players, it'd be Tevez, and Balo, with De Jong being less mouthy, and more physical.

Suarez and Bellamy are the same... it's part of their game. That's no excuse for Barton's actions.

One of my mate was in garlands last night and said barton was a state. He said he was acting billy big bollocks and was surprised this didnt happen earlier in the night.

That sounds about right as he isnt pressing charges against the two lads. If he wasnt at fault I would think he would press charges as it would show it as him being a victim.

Twitter has turned journos into proper lazy bastards. Barton tweeted about where he got hit and that he wad okay etc, etc. San had it as their breaking news within two minutes of Bartons tweet.

Also the Mail also reported about it earlier and used a tweet from the blag Jimmy Corkhill page and credited it to Dean Sullivan (the guy that played Jimmy in Brookside). Dickheads.
