I was at Forest Green vs Bristol Rovers a few months ago and the abuse the fans gave him was superb. "Oh Joey she said no" and he had to just stand there like a fart taking it.

She hasn’t given a statement to the police and they were relying on getting in the 999 call and bodycam footage of the initial police attendance under the Res Gestae provision, which is an exception to the hearsay rule. Quite common in domestic violence cases these days.

 

She clearly doesn’t support a prosecution - not giving a statement. I’m not sure why the letter would delay the trial unless it raised an issue with the account she’d given in the 999 call or on the bodycam footage of the attending officers.
