Fantastic goal by Pat McCourt on his debut for Northern Ireland. Granted, it was against the Faroe Islands, but still a quality solo effort and finish. That was for the fourth goal on the night, his first, to make it 3-0 was special as well. If Messi scored them, there would be much wankage. However, as said above, it was only against minnow opposition, but he still didn't panic and put them away.

Watched Scotland v Denmark given 4 of our players were involved, Danny Wilson played very well tonight, sitting on our bench isn't doing him any good, really hope he gets a loan to a premier league club, Bolton ideally were he plays every week as I think it'll do him good and he'll get back in our squad in 2012/2013

Just slightly off-topic for a moment, but with these online highlights clips, you normally see the following:

1 - if the clip is about a single goal, then it always starts with the goal celebrations and lingers on the players (and manager or fans) for about 30 seconds before you see actual replays of the goal. The clips never show the goal being scored as you would do on TV highlights, just the slo-mo replays from all the other angles.

2 - if the clip covers the entire match highlights, then at least half the running time will concentrate on the first goal and the celebrations, regardless of the quality of the goal. By the time you get the last goal, the clip ends there and then with no replays or anything else.

3 - if the clip doesn't include match commentary, it will almost certainly include some shit house tune or shitter heavy rock tune. Nothing any normal person would admit to listening to.

Back to relevant points, Montolivo's goal was a nice finish, and Aquilani's goal took two deflections and wrong-footed Victor Valdes. The Bearded Midfield Maestro scored Spain's goal from the penalty spot.

I know it's a big deal to beat the world champions in the last minute anyway, but the Italians seemed especially pleased it was Aquilani.

What do we say when Liverpoool targets score for their country? "Shit, there's another few mil on the fee"?

Probably there's an exception to the rule :(
