Rise of the far right in Europe.

One minor bit of optimism is that in Europe at least, a lot of the far right has been underwritten financially by Russia.

Which, given the economic situation there and the fact that sanctions are going to start to really bite in a few months when they run out of foreign currency, is probably not going to continue in the future, at least not at the same level.

What happens when these sanctions bite hard upon the ordinary person in France and the poorest people in Europe? The rich have the capital to withstand them, many will benefit whilst wheat, grain and oil shortages will hurt the poor in Russia, Ukraine and Western Europe.

Four in ten French voters voted for a candidate with only one discernable policy, twelve million votes for the hard right. This war in eastern Ukraine could last years, if the economic forecasts are true these widespread sanctions could herald a western economic catastrophe, all fertile ground for the far right.

You can see why more and more people are turning to the extreme. The mainstream is just full of shit. The media is full of shit, the politicians in governments around the world are overseeing a system which doesn’t help most people, businesses are taking the piss, and I’m not surprised that people are looking for something else. I just wish it wasn’t the horrible cunts on the right.

It doesn't help that the shit in the mainstream are constantly scapegoating "the other"; it rolls out the red carpet for the far right.
