Series.

Whilst we're talking about British sitcoms, I think it's right to use the British term.

Yes, I am prickly about it. IT MATTERS.

No. Season, bitch.

There are at least ten SHOWS in that list that are well better than The thick of it.

Most overrated show there? Spaced. No way that deserves to win, it's just not funny enough.

All irony aside, and I have to point out that you have put probably the most unfunny programme ever up there in Men Behaving Badly, when you probably should have put more female-orientated comedy like Vicar of Dibly and Absolutely Fabulous.

Sexualist.

Women aren't funny. Everyone knows that. Though you are right, I am fucking sexual.

Agree on Spaced.  It's decent but I always watched thinking, "Am I not really getting this?".  I probably wasn't mind you.

Haha. I mainly wrote that to hurt you.

It worked.

I'd have thought it would've been right up your street, with all the references and all. Genius show, that.

To be fair, Boy George and Julian Clary combined are slightly less gay than NV so it's not saying much.

Cheers, mate.

What, if any, US shows would you say match up to our best? It's Always sunny and Frasier definitely compare favourably, for me.

I think historically speaking we've always pissed over US comedies, last ten years however I think they've taken the lead in a big way and we're floundering. What's the best British sitcom on nowadays?

I don't like American stuff as much,  Can't think of anything that I would say I like as much as anything in the top 10 of the ones on this list.  E.g, I didn't like Curb Your Enthusiasm that much.  I didn't hate it either mind you.  But then I haven't seen things like Seinfeld or Frasier
