A lad I work with is a season ticket holder at Blackpool, goes the game home and away. His old man works for the FA in some capacity so he regularly gets tickets to the big games around the country, he was at the mancs v Barca final at Wembley. He has watched Adam closely over the past few seasons and reckons we are getting a great team player who will certainly improve our squad. Considering some of the dross we have paid up to 10m for over the last 10 years I'm pretty happy with this transfer should it go through.

Think Charlie Adam is a good player, certainly he is more intelligent and a better passer than most if not all central midfielders we have, i think a central midfield pairing of Adam and Lucas is better than Lucas - Spearing or Lucas - Gerrard. As it will free up Gerrard without loosing any passing ability in central midfield. Obviously i'd rather have Xabi back, or us sign Martinez or Modric, but it's not happening is it. And i do think we need that sort of player.
