2010/11 was quite a year for Adam Morgan. He began it as the back up to Michael Ngoo in Rodolfo Borrell's u18 side, but by the end of the season he'd established himself in not only the under 18s, but also the reserves and the England u17 side.

A tireless frontman who doesn't give defenders a second's peace, Adam is a natural goalscorer with a habit of being in the right place at the right time. He scores all kinds of goals and is also a good footballer capable of linking the play.

An injury to Ngoo towards the end of 2010 gave Adam his chance, and he certainly took it. The goals flowed regularly, and in 2011 he embarked on a remarkable run that saw him net in 14 consecutive games, including two at Anfield against Manchester United in a 3-2 defeat. A lifelong red, Adam couldn't resist the opportunity to give it the '5 times' salute in front of the travelling United fans.

He also scored on his reserve team debut against Bolton, but was unable to build on that and nail down a place in the second string as the u18s were going for the title and he was needed for those games. A call up to the England u17 squad for the Euro Championships meant he was unavailable for the final few games of the reds season, which was a pity as Kenny Dalglish was involving numerous youngsters with the first team set up and Morgan may have been one to get a chance.

The following season was a bit more difficult for Adam, as he alternated between u18 and reserve squads. He still scored goals, just not as many as the year before. When Brendan Rodgers replaced Dalglish he wanted to take a closer look at some of the young players he had inherited, and Morgan was one of a number of lads who joined the senior squad for their pre-season tour of North America.

He made a favourable impression, scoring on his first game with the seniors, a tap in to secure a 1-1 draw with Toronto.
