Watched "The Naked Gun" with the kids last night, they were in tears at the parts where Drebin goes for a whizz with the radio mic on and the pure slapstick of the scene where he sets fire to Ricardo Montalban's office.

They're into "The Young Ones" and have watched "Airplane!" "Top Secret!" and now "The Naked Gun" in the past week. Love the way good humour just isn't defined by a generation.

There was a scene in Bottom when a bloke called spudgun comes round to a party.

Converstaion as follows-

Spudgun- "My wife is in the West Indies"

Mayall- "Really?"

Spudgun- "Yeah- she Left Tuesday.."

...short pause,

Mayall look perplexed

Spudgun shakes head and says- "It was funnier in the pub..".

I couldnt stop laughing, random shit like that is right up my alley

The airport press conference "And you, coming down to get the hot story" to the press when they're actually there for Weird Al Yankovic. And the firework factory fire "Nothing to see here".

And I know its not good form to like anything OJ Simpson did, but he's involved in some ace scenes, like when he gets shot about 50 times then he's staggering around standing on bear traps and leaning on freshly painted woodwork. And the hospital scene is classic.

OJ (Whispering): "Drugs"

Frank : "Nurse, get this man some drugs, can't you see he's in pain?"

OJ : "Heroin"

Frank : "Thats a bit of a tall order, you might have to give me some time on that one"

These are all from memory so sue me if they're not totally accurate.

I only watched The Naked Gun for the first time about a year ago, and this scene had me absolutely crippled! Repped for the reminder, I'm going to watch it tonight.
