It's all Rafa's fault. Big, evil, chubby, goatee guy. Anything anyone else done it all leads back to him, and Code can prove it all. He's got a database full of evidence you know. *winks and taps nose*

Rafa forced Xabi to go to Real as well, even marched him to the airport by the scruff of the neck. Xabi was crying too. He even took a big shit near the runway just as the plane was passing to drive the point home to Xabi. Then slung some of it at his window.

I still love him though.

Just thought I'd get that in before it all starts. We need to build a foundation on facts.

No doubt there will be the usual gimps saying how great he was and how he showed his class by not speaking out, with other gimps coming out to defend Rafa as though he is their dad. This is how these threads normally pan out.

It is, yes, but I think there is a largely unexplored angle to the whole Alonso saga which we have yet to discuss the arse out of. What was the net spend on Xabi, hmm? That's got you, admit it.

I see it as a chance to listenn to one of the great players of our recent past. Nothing more, nothing less.

Alonso was a proper Liverpool player and, whatever the reason he might have left, he's only said good things about us since and we made a tidy profit which in normal circumstances would have bought us an adequate replacement.
