The second series of Ozark is scheduled to appear on Netflix on 31st August.

One of the few programmes I've enjoyed recently so looking forward to this.

I liked it but am not overly fussed, not a big fan of Jason Bateman, he always looks smug as fuck.

Posted on the film thread by accident.

Bodyguard starts on Sunday on BBC1 , written by Jed Mercurio ( Line Of Duty ) and starring Keeley Hawes & Richard Madden ( Robb Stark )

Looks like it could be good.

The promo ads looked great! I’ll wait for the reviews before deciding whether or not to watch but it certainly looks promising

Into The Dark

https://www.indiewire.com/2018/09/into-the-dark-trailer-blumhouse-hulu-1202003492/

Get ready for 12 months’ worth of scary celebrations, as Blumhouse debuts its first tease of what’s to come for its new horror series “Into the Dark.” The Huluoriginal, helmed by unique writer/directors, will tackle a key holiday for the next year, beginning (naturally) with Halloween, followed by Thanksgiving, Christmas, and more. The series launches October 5.

The first episode, “The Body,” stars Tom Bateman, Rebecca Rittenhouse, David Hull, Aurora Perrineau and Ray Santiago, and was written by Paul Fischer and Paul Davis (who also directs). The official synopsis: “A sophisticated hitman with a cynical view on modern society finds his work made more difficult when he has to transport a body on Halloween night, but everyone is enamored by what they think is his killer costume.” It’ll also world premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival on Sept. 21.

The second installment, entitled “Flesh and Blood,” focuses on Thanksgiving, and was written by Louis Ackerman and directed by Patrick Lussier. Starring Dermot Mulroney, Diana Silvers, Tembi Locke and Meredith Salenger, the official synopsis is “Kimberly, a teenager suffering from agoraphobia, has not left the house since her mother’s unsolved murder.  On the eve of Thanksgiving, anniversary of the murder, Kimberly begins to suspect that she is in danger in this horror/thriller. Is Kimberly going mad cloistered in a home she can’t bring herself to leave; or is the safe harbor of home and doting father a dangerous mirage?” “Flesh and Blood” is set to premiere November 2.

Subsequent episodes will continue to roll out over the course of the year on Hulu, tackling both obvious and obscure celebrations.  Check out the teaser trailer below.

Haunting Of Hill House

http://www.denofgeek.com/us/tv/the-haunting-of-hill-house/263712/the-haunting-of-hill-house-release-date-cast-netflix

The mother of almost all ghost stories is coming to Netflix with a TV series adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s 1959 horror novel The Haunting of Hill House, which happens to be one of Stephen King’s favorite books. It was made into a classic piece of early 1960s cinema (and a 1990s remake), and will soon arrive on Netflix as a 10-episode series, written, produced, and directed by Mike Flanagan, who directed Oculus and Gerald’s Game. Flanagan will produce with his producing partner Trevor Macy for Amblin TV and Paramount TV.

Here's the official synopsis:

"The Haunting of Hill House explores a group of siblings who, as children, grew up in what would go on to become the most famous haunted house in the country. Now adults, and forced back together in the face of tragedy, the family must finally confront the ghosts of their past — some of which still lurk in their minds while others may actually be stalking the shadows of Hill House."

Camping

https://www.rollingstone.com/tv/tv-news/jennifer-garner-camping-trailer-720252/

“Where are we?” Jennifer Garner‘s character screams while Juliette Lewis’ character looks amused by her breakdown in the new trailer for HBO’s comedy series, Camping.

Executive produced by Girls showrunners Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner, Camping stars Garner as Kathryn and David Tennant as Walt. The couple head to the great outdoors to celebrate his 45th birthday, but it seems Kathryn’s Type A meticulous planning isn’t as enjoyable for their friends who are also on the trip.

As Kathryn plots an itinerary that no one seems excited about, some of her fellow campers choose to do “whatever the F we want,” as Lewis’ character says while she and her companion hang out at a bar. Marriages and friendships look to be challenged as tensions build between them.

Based on the U.K. series of the same name, Camping also stars Ione Skye, Janicza Bravo, Arturo Del Puerto, Brett Gelman and Bridget Everett. Camping premieres on October 14th via HBO.

Deutschland 86

http://www.denofgeek.com/us/tv/deutschland-83/267573/deutschland-86-release-date-cast-story

Deutschland 86 will make its German debut on Amazon Prime on October 19th. It will premiere in the U.S. on Sundance on October 25th.

Deutschland 86 picks up with Martin Rauch (Jonas Nay), his Aunt Lenora (Maria Schrader) and their colleagues at the East German foreign intelligence agency (HVA) three years after Deutschland 83.

Abandoned by Moscow and desperate for cash, the East German leadership pushes their secret operatives to experiment with global capitalism and save their sinking socialist ship. Long banished to Africa for his sins in 1983, Martin Rauch is now sent back into the field. Dark deals and a dangerous mission lead him to South Africa, Angola, Libya, Paris, West Berlin and finally back to East Berlin, where he must make an impossible decision.

Our hero's journey plays out to a soundtrack of international pop music – against a backdrop of Perestroika, proxy Cold Wars, the struggle to end Apartheid, a year of terror in Western Europe, and the creeping feeling back home in East Germany, that the end just might be near.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

https://mashable.com/video/netflix-sabrina-teaser/?europe=true#CBBYq.oqeZqh

If you're a fan of the sitcom Sabrina the Teenage Witch...Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina may not be for you.

The first trailer for this dark take on the powerful teen (from the makers of Riverdale) promises creepy woods, minotaurs, the occult, and a terrifying cover of "Happy Birthday." And it's just a teaser!

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina stars Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men), whose half-human half-witch identity clashes along with the magical and mortal worlds. A far cry from its '90s cousin, Netflix describes CAOS as "tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist." So...no animatronic cat?
