Love this type of music lately.

Was out in Lisdoonvarna with the Mrs a couple of months ago and the pub we were drinking in had a couple of banjo players in it playing. Over the course of the evening more and more musicians kept coming in till there were about 20 of them. I asked one of them what was going on and they said they were Appalachian musicians from all over America and Uk who came here once a year to play. Id never heard of Appalachian music before tbh. Ended up having a brilliant night, they played for hours.

Been listening to a lot of the Dubliners lately. Mostly when Luke Kelly was still alive. There is one that went far too soon

Excellent live performance of an old Scottish song.

Sam Amidon did an album of reworked Appalachian mountain tunes and old folk songs, All Is Well, which is excellent.
