A jazz octet doing an interpretation of Starvinsky's The Rite of Spring, I was listening to it the other night & can't work out for the life of me how they're going to pull it off but it'll certainly be interesting watching them try. Seemingly they played it at a local jazz bar last year & got a standing ovation.

OK, so they pulled off brilliantly, one of the best gigs I've ever been to. I done something I rarely ever do & bought a CD after it, the woman at the counter asked me if I wanted my CD autographed, "for your mum?". Wasn't quite sure what to say to that so I done a Michael Jackson crotch grab & ran off into the night.

 

I actually think I know a lot more about what Igor Stravinsky was getting at now after seeing it framed in a jazz setting, the bloke was fucking insane.

Been listening to this a lot, there's a ballad on it called 'Sweet Pea', which is one of the most perfect pieces of music you'll ever hear.

I'm on a bit of a 'Heart' Fest at the moment. I missed a lot of their stuff first time round.

 

This is a folky mandolin cut, reminiscent of Zep, but definitely stamped Heart.
