So why did it not work the last time.

Musk... Changing the fucking name from Twitter to 'X' and buggering up thousands of forums world wide.

There was some gubbins at the end of the URL which i think Skids posted as well (https://twitter.com/skthekingyt/status/1854694147841519995s=46&t=PwhHrO1toVvshRoo1wdiVA)

Might be related to Skid's account, which can't be resolved from this site.

It's bonkers watching this happen in real time. It feels like a slow coup. The idea that a maga court has made it impossible to convict a president for anything, that's full blown Fuhrerprinzip shit.

The Dems have no balls at all. They had the presidency and the house, they should have rained a shitstorm down on social media and dug hard into Russian money and influence in the republican party and elsewhere. Alas no.

The 'left' never fights fire with fire, and it pays the price time and time again.

This is a very good point.

Look at it now, Harris saying she'll help the handover to Trumps militia go smoothly, Biden saying he's invited Trump to a meeting this week.

What did the republitards do? Stormed the fucking capitol.

It was the same over here when Corbyn was being slandered on a daily basis, and just tried to ignore it. He should have sued the shit out of them. Starting with that Riley cunt.

I get the idea of being the bigger man or woman, but maybe it's time to fight fire with fire.

Aye, the idea that both sides have got a side of the story isn't so, one is a crime syndicate.

But pointing out what Trump is and the Republicans have become is just emphasizing the things that got him and them elected.

Americans want his racism, his xenophobia, his misogyny, his hate.

He's spent ten years preaching the same sermon, over and over and over again.

People aren't voing for him despite it, they're voting for him because of it.

As much as I loathe Trump, one smart thing he did, that I have to give him grudging respect for, was going all out on the mainstream media (which, in ironic contrast to our right-wing press over here is predominately liberal) in the States. He portrayed them as the enemy, not just of him but the people, and that idea has resonated, to the point where it really doesn't matter what they say against him now because it's fake or biased news coming from the other side. He's effectively neutered the voice and influence of much of the media over there.

Wouldn't be such a bad thing if a leading politician over here was able to do the same thing.
