The bills are piling up for former President Donald Trump's campaign.

The city of Erie will bill Trump's campaign for costs incurred by the Erie Bureau of Police and other departments for his rally Sunday at the Bayfront Convention Center, according to Renee Lamis, chief of staff for Mayor Joe Schember, who said the city is reviewing the expenses associated with the rally and did not have a dollar figure to provide yet.

"The Trump campaign still owes the City of Erie a total of $40,330 for public safety costs associated with campaign visits in 2018 and 2023," Rob Lee, a spokesperson for the Schember administration, said in an email to the Erie Times-News. "These costs were for police, fire and public works personnel overtime."

The fact it's close is quite unreal, it seems many 'average' Americans want the chaos that will ensue, which is telling. Social suicide.

There's always a mocking tone when talking about the rest of the world when it comes to politics and culture. Yet here we have the West descending into a far bigger madness in comparison. The Republicans are a death cult and Trump is clearly cognitively impaired and getting worse by the day.

It's certainly a perspective that needs to be reconsidered.

How fucking thick are Americans? I mean in the UK we have bellends who vote for the likes of farage but to sit there and applaud whilst some deranged, orange, candy-floss haired lunatic makes statements about Obama creating isis is another level of stupidity entirely. Stupid cunts.

Because in fairness it’s picking either end of a shitty stick. Don’t either side have anyone who is normal that they can put forward instead of people who are so polarising?

There's no comparison.

Trump isn't vance or Pence or any other right winger, he's a convicted criminal, habitual liar and thick as fuck to boot. Harris is a functioning human being, a low bar I know.

A new book by Bob Woodward (bloke who looks a bit like Robert Redford) says that Trump secretly sent Covid tests to his good pal and kingmaker Vladimir Putin during the Pandemic when American people were dying due to a shortage of tests in USA under the understanding that "nobody must ever find out".

Guilty or not guilty...?

He probably paid him for them - I'm not even joking.

Trump gaining ground in latest polls everywhere except Georgia and NC, where he has lost a poll today for the first time.

This is either going to be a comfortable win for Trump, or at best, if it's true people are no longer keeping a secret they will vote for him, on a real knife edge in battleground states. As in, hundreds of votes.

Trump is 100 percent going to win has no one been paying attention to the reality we are in.

The reality is he lost the last election in 2020 when everyone then also said he's "100% going to win".

Since 2020 he has also lost a lot of the middle ground that voted for him just because they vote republican.  A lot of them now either won't vote, or will follow that ever growing number of former Republican Government officials saying they'll vote Harris as Trump is a threat.  It's his hard, very vocal, base will vote for him. That's a lot of people but in pure numbers I think it'll be considerably lower then in 2020.  So if the Dems can get the people out to vote like they did in 2020, they'll win, and they'll win by a bogger margin than 2020.  If not, then god help us all.
