What's the score with Giuliani? He helped bring down the mob and drive down crime rates in NY didn't he? He wasn't always utterly insane. He's like a cartoon character now. Is that just how he makes money?

It’s a bit of a myth.

Look beyond broken windows, which was never the success it was made out to be, in fact it created lots more problems that were largely ignored.

There’s a twofold problem, dispersal of crime away from the highly concentrated policed areas, where crimes, especially violent and drug crimes, went up, and long sentences for undeserving crimes creating a prison population that’s there for trivial stuff for far too long, it’s bred resentment and distrust of the police and authorities that has never gone away.

It’s all a bit of an in plain sight lie, like a lot of this rabbles approach to everything. Say something and why bother to see it through, it’s been said, it’s as good as done in their mind.

Aled Jones. He wasn't even the original person who sung in the film was he. Totally nicked the original lads thunder.

You're right mate. Jones didn't record it till a couple of years after the cartoon was released.

I remember Ed Koch saying that Giuliani was a good mayor and a terrible human being. And he's not a mayor any more.

He was idolised by Fox for four years.  And this is their reward.

I hope Fox learn from this.

The best thing for the ol You Ese Ay would be just that.

Slice off about 30% of true hardcore delusionists and stick them in their own insulated echo chamber. Republicans would never win another election.

They're just buying time aren't they and trying to throw as much doubt about the validity of the elections as they can.

I said the same thing yesterday. I think they're trying get rid of all the incriminating evidence and working out what pardons they can give themselves.

There is a fair amount of backing for the idea that the legalisation of abortion in the 70’s(?) had input into the drop in crime rates of the 90’s - less unwanted kids, less damage being done. Think it was cited in

one of the early gladwell or frekanomics books.
