Ruth Bader Ginsberg has passed opening a slot on the Supreme Court, the Democrats are asking him to not appoint anyone until after the election.

As they did in 2016 after Mitch McConnell blocked the senate floor vote claiming that 8 months before an election was too small a timeframe. In unsurprising news he’s now proposing to get the vote done and pick trumps nominee before the election.

I don't think Trump is capable of 'planning' anything, whether it's a coup or a trip to the toilet.

He's a loudmouthed bully in a place and a system where people are deferential to power and where they'll double down on any stake they've got in their horse.

If you look at it objectively though he's isolated. Even kelly Anne Conway has fucked off. Nobody wants to go down with that ship and all he's left with is Fox News and a few ZZ top lookalikes.

Biden is the establishment. He's not a bringer of change, he's a restoration of the order of things, and a LOT of people, from the newsrooms of the New York Times to the boardrooms of Wall Street and the war rooms of The Pentagon, will be hugely happy about that fact.

In relation to your last paragraph, the corporation's will be happy, but I can see voter apathy or actively not voting Biden from the progressives, younger democrats will get Trump over the line in the necessary states.

It's truly mental that people like Michael Moore are bemoaning Biden not putting a shift in to win Michigan and the likes, and that this will somehow 'hand' it to Trump and the Democrats will deserve it.

This argument worked last time when Trump was more of an unknown quantity, but when you vote for a president who'll happily let a virus kill you and climate change destroy your home and you do it purely to 'give the establishment a kicking', surely the joke is actually on you and you deserve your fate?

Anyone who votes for Trump, knowing what we now no, deserves everything that's coming to them.

Mrs is watching some Alan Titchmarsh guff and he us interviewing Ruby Wax. She was saying that she interviewed Trump 15 years ago. When he mentioned running for President she laughed out loud and he immediately had the plane land at the nearest airport in Arkansas and threw her and the crew off. She also said that she sat next to Melania and could hear the ocean.

Was reading that there is no specific amount of supreme court judges that can be in place so if Biden wins he should get two liberal judges in during his first week.

This being true, there hasn't been more than 10 at any time in its history except during the civil war. It was 6, then went to 9. Moscow mitch will try ram it through though but he and the republicans know that if he does that and goes against his own "rules" from 2016, then the Democrats, if they win the Senate and White House, will have carte blanch to do whatever the fuck they like since it was the republicans who have opened that Pandoras box.

Former Vice President Joe Biden declared in 2016 that if he were chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee he would push ahead with the nomination of a Supreme Court justice "even a few months before a presidential election."

Biden penned a New York Times op-ed in March 2016—just weeks after the death of Justice Antonin Scalia—which accused Senate Republicans that year of neglecting their "Constitutional duty" by stonewalling President Barack Obama's Supreme Court nominee until after the November general election. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell cited a so-called "Biden rule" as justification for delaying Merrick Garland's nomination, pointing to a 1992 Biden speech that demanded President Bush wait until after that year's election to appoint a Supreme Court replacement.

"I know there is an argument that no nominee should be voted on in the last year of a presidency. But there is nothing in the Constitution — or our history — to support this view," Biden wrote in March 2016, demanding Senate Republicans review Garland's nomination.

Great that Neko but yes, terrifying

This year, with a judge no longer watching, the Republicans are recruiting 50,000 volunteers in 15 contested states to monitor polling places and challenge voters they deem suspicious-looking. Trump called in to Fox News on August 20 to tell Sean Hannity, “We’re going to have sheriffs and we’re going to have law enforcement and we’re going to have, hopefully, U.S. attorneys” to keep close watch on the polls. For the first time in decades, according to Clark, Republicans are free to combat voter fraud in “places that are run by Democrats.”

What the fuck

There was a stats guy last week over there who said that if biden wins with a less than 1% margin, WINS mind you, he only has a 6% chance of becoming president. If the margin is between 1 and 3 % he only has a 22% chance! He has to get over a 4.5% margin of victory to have more than a 50% chance of becoming president.

That is utterly fucked up. The gerrymandering and electoral college system needs fucking off
