It was long known that the pro-Republican Senate would acquit a Republican president, so this verdict comes as no surprise. Nor will the forthcoming trolling and shit-stirring rhetoric from the Orange cunt and his gang of arse lickers now that he's seen off the Mueller Report as well as impeachment proceedings.

The problem is that the Democrats and pro-Democrat outlets like CNN have constantly claimed the president did something extremely heinous, and yet when the charges are brought, the wider public do not fully understand (and do not really care) because they cannot see (and do not really care about) the wider issue. It's presented with hyperbolic statements like 'explosive evidence' but when it's discussed, you are often left thinking "And?" or "Is that it?" because the evidence being discussed simply does not tally with the huge outcry. It's like watching a film without a third act.

Trump is guilty as fuck for all sorts of shit I am certain, and those protecting him with no sense of shame really ought to get their comeuppance soon, but the way the world works these days there is very little chance of that happening.

What is really needed is for him to clearly fuck over those that are protecting him as well as those that support him. As some point he needs to be left carrying the smoking gun.

It’s not going to be easy defeating him. He’s very effective at communicating to the people he needs to reach. The republican base is very energised, very motivated to vote and he has near unanimous support amongst them.

The Democratic Party is trying their best to fudge it, and many of their top people would prefer 4 more years of trump rather than, for instance, a Bernie Sanders presidency. They are playing with fire.

The Republicans understand that they really are not the "majority".

Gerrymandering has allowed them the bully pulpit and they are now doubling down by giving unprecedented power to the POTUS. They know they have a lock for the next 4 years. And they are more confident of holding the White House beyond that than worrying about the Senate.
