Would happily run a GF crowdfund to get SD elected as long as we can have a say on policy and write his speeches.

AC Slatering signs in all public washrooms. White dog poo to be reintroduced from the 14th of August.

And what of pornos in bushes, secsh, hum? What of that. Got any policies on that, do you? Fucking fascist.

Not going to bother my arse. I’m in an SNP stronghold and it’s not worth the 2 min walk to the polling station.

The SNP are a bit shit as well. The only thing they bother about is independence and everything else is an afterthought. Sturgeon is my local MP and she is a bit useless to be honest along with the council.

Swap ‘collect underpants’ with Independence and that is basically the SNP.

No point being angry any more, the people of this country like screwing others over and mostly those being screwed can't be arsed getting off their arses and voting. Places like Oldham going from Labour to Tory after everything these fuckers have done its mindblowing. What a depressing little island.

Bit early but some of these maps appear to show the South leading the way in telling the Tories to fuck off whilst the North is generally sticking to Boris. Has England gone completely mad?

Old folk who own houses and consume 'traditional' media, there are now absolutely loads of them and as the graphic says they virtually all vote. With the exception of the small percentage picking up the Mirror they are constantly being told that voting Conservative will make their lives better and implicitly they feel it because their house keeps increasing in value.

For the Conservative party they know that this is their base, which is why they will keep creating policy that stomps on the working age population and youngs in favour of retirees. It'll be a winner for them until the demography starts to change (I.e. the number of older asset holders who are part of the baby boom cohort dwindles).

Sounds good until the old asset holders pass their assets to the next generation and the wheel keeps turning.

It seems to be replicating what's happened in the States. Educated middle classes in the cities are deserting conservatism, so conservatism is weaponisng the angry working class, even though it's them that actually made them angry in the first place.

It's an army build on the functionality of only brain stems and three word slogans.

Some good gains for Lab and Lib. I think the main hope for an election is a Lab/Lib coalition, so I think it’s generally positive. I think the gains in London are interesting; previously long held Tory areas. Maybe it’s just taking people outside a little longer to understand how bad the Tories are making it.

The issue with this is that people are living through a longer period in their younger/working lives where they are in a more penurous situation, this then bakes in attitudes and views that are hostile to the people who are enacting policy to prevent them from having better lives. It also means the asset base gets eroded as they are not building up the same pensions/ savings that the previous generation had. Also one would assume if you keep having working age generations with very little savings/poorer earnings that will eventually effect the price of said assets, though QE and massive capital accumulation by the rentier class seem to have obviated that.

Nope London just has just loads of youngs who have no capital/assets are renting and reading non-traditional news sources, basically the exact opposite of who the Conservative party's base are. It's a demographic shift in those previously Conservative held areas, basically because of the housing market being virtually impossible in the South East for people to access meaning more people are ending up in the aforementioned camp. There's also a bit about education levels etc.

The Greens gained my ward from Labour in Sheffield, giving them 14 on the Council. I'm pleased with that, they do a good job locally and I certainly align with their national ethos.

I hope these local elections point the way towards Labour, the Lib Dems and Greens working together at the next GE to oust the cunts in charge.

Getting London is nice, but the picture across the rest of the country isn’t great when you look at turn out etc.

Should have been an absolute bloodbath everything considered.

Johnson is safe with this, projection of 550 losses, most likely from his office/team, will save him as it’s ‘not as bad as it could have been’, which in truth is right.

What the fuck is wrong with people?

So in the last couple of years there’s been a big demographic shift in, for example, Westminster? Hmn… need more info.

Labour failing to capitalise on both partygate and the cost of living crisis makes Starmers position almost as perilous as Johnsons imo. Starmer and his crew seem to believe his main political rival is Jeremy Corbyn and not Boris Johnson. Maybe its best for Labour to fuck him off and get someone like Burnham in to unite the party, set out a vision on for the country (taking energy and rail back into public hands for one, a fair living wage for all and an above inflation pay rise for our NHS workers for two) take the fight to the Tories and stop wasting energy fighting the people in their own party who believe in social justice.
