The fall out from this new ground is genuinely superb. They think we’re all jealous etc but they can’t stop slagging it and the council off hahahahaaaaa toffee twats

It's brilliant. They've gone on about the ground non stop for 8 years, it's doubled in price and it takes about 3 hours to get away from it. They'll all be fighting each other at the Nemesis queue at Sandhills after being twatted 3-0 at home by Brentford.

Us winning the league will infuriate them even more.

Haha that’s another thing they can’t stop bleating on about. Trying their absolute best to justify us winning the league and taking the shine off their new Boonabeau

It's not really in the spirit (so to speak) of the thread and I haven't paid attention to the specifics, but are the transport issues around their new ground really that big a deal? There isn't a venue on the planet where there isn't traffic trouble when everyone wants to leave at the same time. They probably overpromised on it - when do they ever not do that? - but no amount of investment in the rail network is going to make it a frictionless experience.

Would probably be the same if we had an Anfield station. As long as they put extra and longer trains on then it should be ok. Would just be annoying knowing you had to be in a queue after every game but if you’re just going to town it’s not that far a walk. Driving away from Anfield after the psg game and the queue for buses into town was massive so we obviously have issues with transport as well.

Apparently this is also impacting upon them wanting to hold concerts. A few LFC stewards have also been working at these test events because Everton haven't got enough with experience.

Imagine if they move the Euro 28 games away from Liverpool. They won't hold them at Anfield because of the stupid rule about our pitch being slightly smaller even though we've held CL games and the Brazil V Croatia game in 2018.

I’ve said before I wouldn't be surprised if they’re gambling on the council stumping up the money for infrastructure improvements in order to host these games.

They've already had £45 million off the council for this and blew it / embezzled it

Apparently Peel Holdings are now going to throw money at the area because Everton have built a stadium there.

The same Peel Holdings who bought the area in 2005 and released tons of plans with massive 60 storey skyscrapers but have built the grand total of fuck all. They tag onto any building at Princes Dock even though they never fund it. The only time they ever build anything is when they get a government subsidy.

Still waiting for the new cruise liner to be built that will generate tons of cash. Peel wouldn't even stump up the £97m required and told the council to fund it. That sounds very familiar...

Can you even get a train to Wales from Sandhills?

Sandhills to Moorfields then the Wirral line to Bidston. Trains to North Wales from Bidston and they are the shite laste 1990s two car trains. Probably less hassle to fly from Ireland or Norway.

My all-time favourite suggestion for Bramley Moore was one of them suggestng they buy a disused aircraft carrier as a floating car park, and moor it out in the Mersey during games before bringing it back to the dock at the end of the game.

Anfield and Goodison both have numerous ways in and out of the area and big roads/motorways nearby.

bramley moore has 2 (up towards sandhills or back onto town along the strand.(which is gridlocked at the best of times).

Unless you are going to walk to seaforth docks.

Coming in by car the only feasible place to park would be town(a good half hr walk)

facilities wise there is still only 1 boozer there(the bramley moore)

no one lives down there, so why would they build a load of bars and eateries?

I honestly thing they have said "fuck it, we will build it there and think about everything else after
