The only hope are the points deductions. But I think they'll still be too strong. It's what makes dyche such a perfect coach for their situation.

Yeah

And they survived heavy deductions last year anyway.

The real hope is that their deluded support don't accept what Dyche is doing (which is actually getting the most out of the shite they are) and start demanding their 'rightful place' blah blah blah and they create enough pressure for him to be bin bagged and they bring in some clown like DeTory who can't set up a sack of shite outfit to be solid enough and tricky to beat often enough the way Dyche specialises in doing and has done with them.

These fuckers are the worst team to watch in the league and have been since Carlo left but you can bet your bottom dollar they'll find some way to piss everyone off and finish 17th.

They'll finish higher than that sadly.

I think they're a little weaker this year. The old players are obviously older and onana is a loss. And the weeks around the 1st deduction last year is what made their season. That might not happen again. And maybe, just maybe, someone will need more than 27 points to stay up this year. I think it'll be closer than last year. But it's also possible they might have a few quid to spend in January.

Aye but way it is looking so far i'd be surprised if 18th got as many pts as Luton did.

I'd be beyond made up if the shite finally got flushed - but my view is there is little to no chance of it happening this season.

Noway they go down unless they got hit with a points penalty

Leicester,Wolves,Southampton,Ipswich all worse than them. Palace will be ok unless they lose more players. Brentford have fallen off but have enough goals in them to stay up. The PGMOL and PL won't let the mancs go down

I'm still hopeful, Fulham, Bournemouth and Brentford have ruled themselves out of a relegation fight, they're too strong and have excellent managers.

Palace and Wolves are better than Everton, they just need their first win to get them going. So that leaves Everton and the promoted 3, Southampton are shit but the other 2 could have shown they have something about them. If the guy sacks Dyche that could tilt the balance.

Luton only got 26 points last season. I think out of the current bottom 3, I would be amazed if wolves and palace don't improve and get a better return than they have so far. Ipswich look like they have a result in them. Leicester are already ahead of Everton. For me this season only Southampton look completely hopeless and that is mainly as they don't really look like they have any goals in them from what I've seen. I don't know how they're fixed to change that in January.

I just think it'll all be closer this season and I'd be shocked if you don't need more than 30 points to stay up.

Erm, I went the game. Mate of mine had two spare season tickets in the Park End so I took my Bluenose nephew. There…I’ve said it

Was the roar when the penalty was saved really the loudest roar ever in a football stadium throughout history?

Spare season tickets? But don't they...well, you said it yourself.

Pretty loud, amplified by the fact it was Gordon who missed. But no - not the loudest ever. To be fair, from the opposite end none of us, including me could see what the foul was for the penalty. And to be scrupulously fair, I was puzzled when there was no VAR review at least, when Calvert-Lewin went flying. My nephew had Calvert-Lewin down Pat, saying he looked totally disinterested. Couldn’t understand why they kept lumping it toward him. Summary - Newcastle were the better team, but couldn’t threaten in front of goal, let alone finish.

Sorry to report that my animus for our Blue brethren has cooled somewhat. This was my third spare in 2024, Luton FA Cup and Roma pre-season. No….Im not turning blue, just walked a mile or to in others’ shoes.
