It seems I'm tripping on some substance, as I've just read a Blueshite fan calling Liverpool, trophy dodgers!

Indeed.  The team that has won as many trophies since 1995 as Everton have ever is a team of trophy dodgers.

No it's there. We're just not as good at avoiding trophies as they are.

I suppose you have to get close to trophies to dodge them; I'm not dodging Russian missiles, because I'm as far from Ukraine as Everton are from trophies.

No Liverpool fans were that arsed or jealous about the stadium and as Stig said above loads were happy that a derelict part of the city was being regenerated.

The thing everyone laughed at was the fact that it took them six years to start it after going on about it non stop, having tons of surveys and bringing out a stadium update every time they lost badly. I think they even released a stadium update the day after we won the CL in Madrid.

Also with Everton being Everton they go over the top about anything remotely positive that happens to them and everything has to be bigger and better than everyone else so they go on about it like it's on a par with the dallas Cowboys stadium or the Sofi Stadium in LA. The outside looks a bit unique but the inside looks generic and boring as they have done away with the large home end.

Everton will be crying for tax payer money to keep the stadium above flood water levels within 20 years

thing is, if sea levels do get that high, there are likely to be many more problems with the world than just their stadium being underwater. Like the whole 170m population of Bangladesh needing to find somewhere to live for example.

So you could have Stubbs going "bwaaaark", Horne talking about threatening kids parents on the sidelines of junior football matches and Parkinson.....no I'm out there.
