How do you get evicted from a stadium you built?

Almost like they rented a pitch and a few wooden stands and got booted off the land, stealing the turnstiles as they left, and then the new team actually built the stadium with stands and concrete and had to replace the turnstiles.

Fixed that for you.

I genuinely don’t know, know of or have heard a single red ever show any kind of jealousy towards their new stadium. Half seem just not arsed and the other half are genuinely happy to see the area redeveloped around that part of town. Plus that away end at Goodison along with  Palace is the worst away end in the top flight. The only handy thing about it is getting to it is easy enough.

The new stadium looks boss from the outside. Inside it could literally be any club in the world that play in Blue. A glorified Riverside (Boro) stadium.

I'd agree except by "that part of town" I'm sure it should be "miles out of town"!

I know of no top flight club that has improved on the pitch due to a new stadium.

Everton will be crying for tax payer money to keep the stadium above flood water levels within 20 years

That's a few years old.  That information was available when they still had plenty of time to relocate somewhere sensible, but they were all too deep in "Redshites heads have fell off" mode to question it.

I posted it on Twitter and tagged in a load of Everton pages, to ask"aren't you a bit worried about this?". The only reply I got was from some blert laughing at me because I "believe in " climate change.

I still don't understand the logistics of that ground. As far as I can see, there's only one way in and one way out for both sets of fans.

Am I missing something?

You're missing the local political backing there has been to get it built and not to listen to anyone who raises questions about the obviously problematic location.

I go past there every week to Costco and, even allowing for understandable worksite problems, there are regular issues and it is only one lane either side.

I don’t think it’s bias saying this, but I just don’t like their ground. I’m not jealous of it. It’s a good upgrade from their current shed, but this isn’t something that Maldini is coming out of retirement so he can add it to the list of grounds he’s played at. from the outside it looks like it’s got fake wood strips from Homebase, on the inside it’s pretty underwhelming. It could look decent when fans are in, but that cutout looks crap. Also, shouldn’t they have 100k seats, being the big club in the City.

United’s ground is probably going to be amazing though.

I'm genuinely underwhelmed by the exterior of football stadia, anyway.  They're a bit like railway stations: sure, some are nicer than others, but none of them will cause the Sagrada Familia any sleepless nights.

Yeah, that’s true. Everything tries to be featured in a future episode of mega structures. I do like the Allianz though, when it’s all lit up. I even like the inside for a bowl.

Yes! Hello....overhead railway.....taxi boats......helipad.

Not forgetting, within walking distance for 99% of them. Google says 13hrs 53 mins from Rhyl
