They also blamed Liverpool for buying up houses to extend the main stand despite them doing the exact same with the Park End in the 90s. Fucking bellends the lot of them

Alongside The Beatles LFC have elevated this city's status. We should  be able to knock down the whole of Anfield and build a mega super stadium if we liked.

Everton fans have got a fucking cheek going on about Liverpool. They demolished loads of houses to build 3 sides of their ground and forced people out of their homes.

 

They have dithered for over 25 years about getting a new stadium and fucked up the Kirkby project which meant Kirkby was left without any development until recently. They wanted to build on Walton Hall Park and they've basically left the area round their stadium turn into a shithole without putting anything back into the community. Liverpool have spent £20m on stanley Park over the years. 

 

Everton wont even contribute towards a new train station for their ground but will tell everyone how they've developed part of the city.

I also don't remember the people moving from property putting up a fight over there. Here we have the sisters on kemlyn road, which went on for years. And for the main stand, there were loads of carpetbaggers who'd bought properties merely to leave them empty and hold out for stupid money when Liverpool wanted to buy. So we got these situations where because we're relevant and things weren't as smooth it creates headlines. FFS, they're so irrelevant they've been able to escape being the primary reason for losing our world heritage status.

I like the way they vlaim the club demolished the houses behind the Anfield Road End and stole land off the park. Even though the houses had been owned by club for years. 

 

The 2 sisters held on for as long as possible and got about 3 times what their houses were worth. I work with one of their relatives and she says they were the tightest people she ever knew. They only moved down the road as well and kept all the money in suitcases because they didn't trust banks and also didn't want to get taxed on it. 

 

If anyone had burgled their house they would have though they had won the lottery. Yet you only hear the story that the club forced two old women out of their homes.
