It’s true, I’m from near there and they can fuck off if they think they’re going to build a road over it. My sister’s mate married a tree to raise publicity for the cause and it worked. People were frothing at the mouth on Mail Online and she was in most newspapers including one that shall remain nameless. If it’s Everton causing it getting tarmacked over that’ll be extra sour. They’ll have a fight on their cunting hands.

Doesn't even come close hitting the top 20 of bizarre things mentioned in this thread.

What was that boozer called I can’t remember, went in it a few times?

The Cottage mate.

Sure the shite will have high tides covered but we got high tides and torrential rain one night water in the bar was two foot deep, celler flooded, fire brigade to pump us dry. Closed us for three months.

They could be the first club to drown.

Our old friend The Esk is suggesting more short term loans incoming this week.

That was quick! I suppose that's the penalty of not selling DCL and branthwaite as that was supposed to give them the cash in the bank to last till the end of the year. Who's loaned to them this time? Have they gone back to Andy bell?

Most football stadium looks similar inside. What else can you do with 4 sides of seated terracing.

The only ones that look different are stadiums like Anfield and St James park. They have developed the stadium at different times and so don't look like generic bowls.

It is usually the outside that makes stadiums look different. I don't mind the look of BMD but it is not outstanding.

Iconic stadiums are not necessarily what they look like but what has happened inside them to give it history and status and a new bowl won't have that for a long time. I wouldn't call The Emirates stadium or The Tottenham stadium iconic as they have had no major history yet.

Let's be honest BMD may be a nice stadium but look who play there Everton and you can't polish a turd.
