Won't be long till they turn on Dyche

The irony is they are better off with him because he knows how to do just enough with them to keep them safe.

He knows they are shite, he knows they have zero quality and he sets them up accordingly and whilst it is ugly to watch and whilst they'll get snotted by good teams playing even half decent, it will be enough to see them get enough results against the rest of the dross to be ok. He very much maximises their few strengths (playing for set pieces and then causing problems from them mostly) and minimises the risks of their many weaknesses particularly and importantly against the rest of the dross.

The thing is their deluded supporters can't accept this and demand the 'giant' plays on the front foot and are true to some bullshit philosophy that hasn't really been relevant for a long, long long time.

DeTory would have taken them down without doubt - Dyche has saved them and stabilised them, but the deluded gets will hound him out with their 'school of science' etc bollocks.

I sincerely hope he is drummed out soon and they get someone in like DeTory who hasn't got a clue how to handle a team of such abysmal quality and they are finally flushed.

It's like a circle they are in.

You know what you are getting with dyche, they won't play dazzling football but even with a limited budget he will probably keep them safe.

Without the points deduction he would have them finish mid table last years Considering they escaped relegation by the skin of their teeth 2 years running, that's a half decent achievement

And they are already calling for his head

They can't afford to sack him, so it doesn't really matter. They'd honestly need to be 8 or 10 points clear of safety for them to want to find a way to sack him. Moyes being available though will keep the pressure on him.

It sounds like Leicester are facing a points deduction or two and Southampton and Ipswich will probably finish below them so sadly it looks like they will hold on for another season.

And palace haven't started well and might lose more players yet.

Dyche contract finishes at the end of the season. They can sack him if they need to, they don't even have to pay him off. They could just follow the Italian model and put him on gardening leave and pay him and hope another club wants him and agrees to pay them or let him join if he agrees to walk away from him wages etc

I remember a game of ours back in the 60s against Cologne (the tie eventually settled by the toss of a casino chip) when it started snowing heavily while I was on my way to the ground. The officials called it off shortly before kickoff time and they announced to the fairly sizeable crowd to wait while they printed chits for the rescheduled game. The kop had a snowball fight vs the rest of the crowd on the pitch. When the tickets were ready, half the Kop got themselves upgrades by leaving through the paddock.

The question here though is 'Why did the ref have a casino chip in his pocket?'

Taps nose.

MOTD showed the most Pickford thing ever, when he did his usual thing of making a meal of a save, then turned to a cameraman to say "Did you get that?"

Honestly, I could not be happier for him when this happened a little later.

Kept thinking that Son should have just gone down there when Pickford took a swipe at him to get him sent off. Obviously isn't as funny as scoring but Spurs would have probably won about 8-0 against 10 men for most of the game and Pickford would be banned for a few games.

That was my first thought, Harry.

They don't have enough money to pay the wages of 2 managers and their coaching staff for a season. As it stands right now, they don't have the money to get to the end of the season paying their existing commitments. If their takeover doesn't happen and moshiri can't persuade someone to loan them more money, they'll be in administration before the season is out.
