Yeah popped on grand old team earlier. Loads of " it's 4d chess", "they know what they're doing". Rather than " we're shit and in debt"

Aren't everyone else fucking this castore mob off because the quality of kits are shite?

I think there were complaints that their kits retain all moisture and rip easily.  Could be like swimming in a lead vest when that stadium hits a duck boat and sinks to the bottom of the royal blue Mersey.

I don't think they're in a position were the top brands are knocking at their door.

Lonsdale coming soon.

Well Hummel are hardly brand of the year, but they were decent looking kits. I thought they had done well with them. Maybe not financially.(I've not idea what it was worth), just they had some decent kits.

I had a look at a Castore Ireland shirt a few months back, and the quality is appalling.

I think they'd be dying on their arse by now but for the fact that they've got the licence to market Umbro. Now that Andy Murray has retired I think that's all they've got going for them.

Edit: 3 Premier League teams have fucked Castore off this summer - Newcastle and Villa for adidas, and Wolves for their own brand (Sudu). The shite are the only Premier League team wearing it now.

£800m for a stadium that isn’t half as good as the one Spurs built for a billlion.

Been past it a few times now, it really isn’t that good, think Tescos Xtra. Looks quite small as well, I’m surprised the capacity is as high as it is. It really isn’t anything special

It's new, it's far inferior to Anfield. Smaller, next to a shit farm, will be next level fucking freezing. Looks like a Tesco superstore I saw in widnes. It's advantage it's not too far from town but really in the grand scheme of things neither is Anfield. Anfield is world renowned. Look it's a great stadium compared to Goodison and it's sound for a smaller club and they need a new ground because Goodison as much as it has old world charm needs demolishing. It's newness is it's only plus.

Anybody who would swap Anfield for their new stadium is mental.

Totally agree. I dont really get this argument about it being much closer to town. I have walked from Anfield to the city centre and I have walked from the city centre to Bramley Moore

It all depends on your starting position obviously, but from Lime street I would say it’s about the same.

Checked on Google maps and it comes up as almost identical.

If it had been built where Peel have put up that board about Liverpool Waters I could understand it, but not as far out as Bramley Moore.

@Megadrive Man

I haven’t been on there for much more than a cursory glance since they banned their best poster.

I had a quick look at that Freidkin thread and there was a couple of people pinning it on Bill Kenwright, obviously. Then someone said something like “see, I told you there was no point locking the Kenwright thread”

Have they actually locked the Bill Kenwright thread? If so, then @Duncan Donuts surely deserves a lot of credit for that.

Had another look. Now Bill’s thread is gone (RIP), the Moshiri hate has finally jumped to where it should have been years ago.

Apparently these takeovers keep failing because Moshiri won’t leave without his £450m.

Even a suggestion that he’s possibly a dead man if doesn’t recover enough of Uncle Uzzy’s money.

All the while the debt keeps rising, interest keeps rising and they’re still taking out loans to stay afloat. It’s beautiful.

Here's the thing with it. It'll never be anfield. It rips them up inside, this world wide iconic stadium and the reason it is, is because they wouldn't pay the fucking rent, the tight cunts.

But, to be fair, I think BMD looks great from the outside and if that central docks project labour are pushing for on housing happens, it'll bring hospitality too, effectively extending the city center. And hopefully that does happen because it's good for the city.

I've not seen the real inside of their ground, just images. And that looks fucking shite. Walkers max crisp bowl. But it's still a walkers crisp bowl. But it will be built to modern standards, so there'll be leg room, there'll be decent concourse under the stand. Usable toilets. It will be different in every way to them. And it'll be much improved comfort on the likes of the kop and especially the lower Kenny. And I'd imagine they'll have put escalators in, which we didn't for the Annie road upper.

And as for distance, I was having this chat with my blue mate last week. He said the lads he goes with were talking about using the ship and mitre as their pre match pub. When I pointed out to him, that was about 10 minutes walk difference to me making it my pub, he went mental! No it's not, no it's not. Then we got Google maps out and it was 11 minutes different. This stadium is a proper hike, which this time of year is sound. But fuck that in the winter. I used to live in Waterloo warehouse, the walk after a night out in town was unbearable, because the wind and rain is such a cunt. And that's about half the distance between town and BMD. The conclusion to the convo with my blue mate, is maybe they'd carrry on drinking in west derby and getting a cab in.

The stadium is going to be great to them. What they don't realise is to the rest of the world, it'll be received with a little more than a shrug as another, bland, homogeneous stadium.
