*Shakes head* Everton again.

The Esk is reporting their external debt to be £650m ( the new owners have already took on 200m of this ) & this doesn’t include the £450m owed to Moshiri, which appears is going to be wiped once the sale is completed by Friedkin. He suggests that another £150m will be required by the new owners to finish the stadium and cover operational costs this season.

The purchase is effectively costing the new group 800m of which roughly half will be long term debt secured against the new stadium. This is more than double what the Saudis paid for Newcastle & Moshiri will walk away with a total loss of c £900m. If anything it’s worked out well for Everton as they’ve ended up with a stadium built that’s cost 750m and only will only have debts of half this amount thanks to Moshiri.

I'm sure the esk was saying this time last year the stadium was still going to cost 150m to complete. I wonder if they've managed to defer payments?

They don't sound in good shape with these new owners. I wonder when it goes through.

Can we get back to laughing at Everton please

Have to wait for the actual footy to start for that.

In the meantime they'll of course win the transfer window yet again, progress the bestest stadium ever to be built in the whole wide world, set up the powershift and possibly become the rcuhest club in the world when their new owners come in.....

They’ve been very loosely linked with James Rodriguez.

The report has attracted a load of them commenting that they should “bring him back home.”

Yep, that James Rodriguez who has had 475 club appearances in his career, with just 26 of them being for Everton.

Yes, “home” indeed…

He'd obviously flourish under Dyche, what with their tactical outlook being so closely aligned.

Their fans never even got to see him play for them did they? Their greatest ever signing “a world class superstar lad” and he fucked off before he had to play in-front of them.

"Better than Gerrard lad"

" Bought in 50 million new passionate Columbian fans that all love the blues and hate the redshite"

"One of the greatest players to ever play in the Premier League"

Were all genuine claims being made at the time!
