Hate to say it but he’s probably one of the most underrated strikers ever. Van Nistelrooy that is not Branthwite or Trump

I think the Haaland comparison further up is fair.

Not a criticism, I wish we had somebody guaranteed to score >25 every season (aside from Mo).

The club’s board of directors recognises the considerable level of financial support 777 Partners has provided the club over recent months and would like to take this opportunity to thank them for this. The club will continue to operate as usual, while it works with Blue Heaven Holdings to assess all options for the club’s future ownership. The board of directors would like to thank everyone connected to Everton for their patience over recent months and reiterate its commitment to providing further updates when it is appropriate to do so through the club’s official communication channels.”

I don’t know. I think Mosh has played a blinder there. He’s conned that baseball cap wearing dweeb, Wander, out of £200m worth of unsecured loans to keep them afloat, with little chance o them getting it back. The only way this works out for 777 is if that is actually Usmanov’s money, in which case the National Crime Agency should be all over it.

There's got to be something dodgy going on. Where are 777 even getting the capital from?

The only immediate fly is the ointment is that they've been dependent on 777's monthly multi-million pound top up's to keep them afloat. I think it's fair to suggest that no one else is going to lend Mosh the readies from now onwards. This still seems like administration later in the summer is the most likely outcome.

They'll be pinning their hopes on Textor to be their saviour now, the PR and Everton fans are whirring into action. Trouble is why would he take them on as a going concern with almost £1 billion worth of debt which he'd be on the hook for? He could try and restructure the debt with some of their creditors I guess? It would make more sense to let them fall into administration and then pick the carcus clean.

And if they do go into administration it will be really ironic to see the so called "peoples club" stiffing the people of all the small local buisnesses who would never see the money they owe them.

How they'd have the neck to carry on calling themselves that afterwards i don't know.

They've probably got a bit of cash on the hip at present - tv and pl prize money just landed, season tickets money landed. Probably see them alright for a few months - their firesale starts in a couple of weeks too - so can probably afford to keep the lights on for a bit, but it is going to bite again and hard soon enough.

Rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic springs to mind.

The only thing that'll help them now will be all the new season payments from TV/PL which I think they get on 1st July. Obviously loads of their will be straight back out the door on players fees, but it probably gives them enough to ride another few months and by then they're probably only 3-6 months from completing the new stadium, which takes the pressure off the other way.
