didn't they slap their money on the table so they could be a part of the scab 6?

They were, but became so shit that nobody paid them any attention. As you do with attention seeking kids.  This is still part of that routine.

they are claiming on twitter their net spend over the last 5 years is £20m

that cant be right?

it wouldn't shock me. since rafa went there, they haven't spent much. they have sold players like richarlison ad gordon. but their losses are driven by huge wages and a tiny turnover. outside of player purchases and all other running costs, their wages were in excess of turnover for years.

Just watching this week's Only Connect and one of the questions was a music round where they played the pre-match music of Premier League teams.  The Isotopes heard Z-Cars and confidently called it Newcastle's anthem.

That's them on the list.

Twitter has intensified the last 2 days with more Evertonians whingeing about FFP and corruption/football being finished. I can't think why that is.

Just like in 2020 when the league got stopped and they were all saying football wasn't important because people were dying. Fast forward to September when they beat a few shit teams to go top for 4 hours and they are all giddy and getting Spirit of the Blues to no1 in the charts.

Dychebag wants the winter break scrapped as it favours big clubs. I’m sure he wanted to use the term Sly Six but got scared.

Were those the words he used? If yes, nice of him to refer to his team as a small club.

They used to just get flukey in cups when poor teams with a handful of class players like Owen Gerrard Suarez etc. would benefit from some good fortune in finals and penalty shoot outs but it played out in the league all the time that they weren’t good enough.

Now Liverpool with arguably poorer players are in title challenges with much better opposition every season. It’s gone from being flukey to just full on matchfixing and doping.

The team with a midfield of Mascherano Alonso and Gerrard couldn’t win a title but one with Curtis Jones Harvey Elliot and Wataru Endo are currently favourites to do so. Make that make sense.

Not until they bugger off to their scab pantomime league

I think that’s the only way football in this country gets saved now. Domestic leagues are just eating themselves because they cannot resist the urge to fix for their biggest teams that bring in tv revenue. If all the scab teams just went and played each other there’d be no need to fix those games as there wouldn’t be any cannon fodder teams, and the remaining teams could actually have a decent competition in their domestic leagues.

Football as it currently is is utterly broken and turning more and more fans off with each passing game they have to watch their own team get shafted against a top 6 side or watch the rules of the game get suspended weekly for Liverpool.

Utterly bonkers. If this guy genuinely feels this way, I actually fear for his mental health.

Think he said clubs with big squads. So maybe he was talking about Nottingham Forest.

Did he explain his reasoning?  I'd have thought that teams with big squads could cope more comfortably without one.

Winter break is surely more beneficial to clubs with smaller squads who can’t rotate players as much. Or is he saying only clubs in Europe and packed with international players benefit, in which case he’s a prick and not arsed about player welfare.

Doesn't a winter break just favour players, their general physical and mental wellbeing.

Indeed.

And without one, your first choice players are likely to get injured, meaning you have to rely on the rest of your squad - which suits the teams with better squads.

Dyche actually has a point, he’s complaining about the fact that the timing of the break is wrong as it means games get shifted to december because of it. The Ev had 9 and we had a game every three days at one point. The real problem is there are too many teams in the EPL and too many competitions and it will be worse this year with the Champions league changes. But not for the Ev

Sounds like a contradiction to me, I'm not watching my team but I'll watch Liverpool.

He’d be better off not watching our games, it clearly triggers a trip wire buried deep in brain to disengage rational thought.

And “rules get suspended weekly for Liverpool”…. He must have a short memory. Good process lads.
