*Shakes head* Everton again.

200k a year the council get from Finch Farm, they gave Everton that much and spent that much on it it will take 75 years to pay it back. Hope people start to realise and take to the streets, raising CT is only the start. How that fat pig gets away with it is easy, cowards on the payroll or too scared to say anything. Who does he think he is.

All allegedly of course.

6 percent rise. Where do they think many people get the money from, just magic it out of thin fucking air. The council is finding it tight well so is every fucker else except we can't go to work and say I'm sorry but your going to have to pay me 6 percent more because im struggling in these economic times. Goods go up I can choose what to buy or not too, tax i get fined or go to jail. The whole tax system needs reforming, especially council tax. Many councils are wasteful as fuck.

And this is before we start talking about Peel and fat envelopes.  (Again, all allegedly.)

Let's not forget, either, that the city's Chief Executive is on bail facing charges of conspiring to pervert the course of justice and intimidating witnesses; it took the Council four months to suspend him and even now he still has his £200,000 p.a. salary and the use of a Jaguar - all at our expense.

Terrible news for these poor people, disgusting. But we hear nothing but praise for Everton here yet these are not even funded by them. Not meaning to score points here but yet another falsehood.

Maybe Moshi can find the money or John Henry for that matter.

What's this '11 key principles of the new stadium' they're on about on EFC forums?

Just the usual bluenose clichéd bollocks.

http://www.evertonfc.com/functional/your-stadium/key-principles/principles-of-development

OUR FORTRESS: Our stadium will be a great place to play football. We will prioritise all football-related facilities and ensure all aspects of on-field performance are at the forefront of our plans. Creating and harnessing an atmospheric, intense and passionate environment will optimise our results. Our design will ensure that the benefit of home advantage is maximised. Just as the Gwladys Street has famously done in the past, the support from the home end will ‘suck the ball into the net’.  Our new stadium will be our footballing fortress.

A NEW HOME FOR EVERTON: Our new stadium will become our home. Our fans will play a key role in the design and configuration of the new stadium. We will create an environment surrounding the stadium where fans will enjoy congregating and socialising - and an environment inside the stadium that will capture and amplify the intensity and intimacy of Goodison Park.

A PLATFORM FOR GROWTH: The new stadium will provide increased capacity, modern and innovative premium seating options, exciting opportunities for our partners and globally showcase our naming rights partner from our unique location. We will create an environment that will encourage repeat visits from our broadcast partners. All of the above will enhance the profitability of the Club and eliminate the financial constraints of Goodison Park.

THE PEOPLE’S CLUB: Our commitment to affordable ticket pricing will ensure our stadium is accessible to the widest of audiences. Our state-of-the-art facilities will encourage regular visits from all fans irrespective of age or ability. We will endeavour to make the stadium available for use all year round – not just on matchdays. A new ‘living and breathing’ community will develop adjacent to Bramley-Moore Dock. We will forge partnerships with local businesses and ensure our new home captures the spirit of our great City.

AN ICONIC LANDMARK FOR LIVERPOOL: We will develop an iconic stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock. A venue that will sit proudly on our world-famous city skyline; a venue that will complement our City’s rich and envied heritage.

EASY TO GET TO, EASY TO GET HOME: Bramley-Moore Dock sits within the historic Liverpool waterfront and close to Goodison Park. Our new home will be easily accessed by road, rail and public transport links.

A LEGACY FOR GOODISON PARK: We will create a unique and innovative legacy for the Goodison Park site, providing sustainability for businesses and residents for generations to come.

RESPECTING HERITAGE: We will respect our maritime heritage, capture the features and essence of our new neighbourhood and restore, and make features of, key structures on the site.

HARNESSING THE ENVIRONMENT: We will harness the environmental power of the Bramley-Moore Dock site. Our aim is to be environmentally efficient in both design and construction.

EMBRACING TECHNOLOGY: Our new stadium will provide cutting-edge technology to support matchday entertainment. We will embrace existing and emerging digital solutions. Inside the stadium, high-quality audio-visual systems will form a key part of the matchday experience.

THE RIGHT DEAL FOR LIVERPOOL:  The funding model will make a significant annual contribution to Liverpool City Council and the stadium development will help kick-start economic regeneration, bringing jobs to the area and acting as a catalyst for further investment.

Council tax in Liverpool looks set to increase by nearly 6% as city leaders warn they are staring over a “financial cliff edge.”

Mayor Joe Anderson will address the full council tonight and say that he has no choice but to raise the tax residents pay by the maximum allowed - which is 5.99% - as he desperately tries to plug funding gaps in key areas such as social care brought about by continued government cuts to local authority budgets.

The news comes as the council reveals a “crisis” in children’s social care will mean that it will overspend on its budget this year by nearly £6 million - a number which will then double the year after.

If the rise is agreed at March’s budget meeting, it will mean a resident in an average Liverpool property - known as Band D - will pay nearly £105 extra each year.

The predicted council tax increase will include a 2.99 % rise to fund council services, while the further 3 % increase will be ringfenced entirely for the city’s struggling social care services.

In mooting the potential rise, Mayor Anderson has laid bare the bleak financial position the council finds itself in after eight years of government austerity.

But now onto other business, spunking hundreds of millions on a football stadium.

Drivers face a hike in the cost of travelling through the Mersey tunnels from the 1st of April.

North Wales motorists are set to be hit by the proposed increase - which will see the price for a single trip in a car increase by 10p to £1.80. This is an increase of 5.8%.

Wonder if this has anything to do with the new stadium .

OUR FORTRESS:

Bear with us, we hope to start winning some games. Any year now.

A NEW HOME FOR EVERTON:

After years of flirting, stalking, begging and whoring, we finally have to admit that the big club doesn't want a groundshare.

A PLATFORM FOR GROWTH:

We dream of selling our arse around the world...

THE PEOPLE’S CLUB: ... but when we fail at that, we'll still tell you parochial numpties that we choose to be a Local Club for Local People.

AN ICONIC LANDMARK FOR LIVERPOOL:

Honestly. Ignore the fact that every other stadium in the world looks like a concrete cowpat from the outside; our designs - which do exist, honest - will make the Three Graces look like a tramp's tagnut.

EASY TO GET TO, EASY TO GET HOME:

With road, rail and tram links in all four directions it's an ideal location!

A LEGACY FOR GOODISON PARK:

Fat Joe's shady mates are preparing artist's impressions of 500,000 luxury student flats even as we speak.

RESPECTING HERITAGE:

We'll paint a boat on one side of the stadium.

HARNESSING THE ENVIRONMENT:

We will protect the grass in the middle of the pitch by employing Fat Sham.

EMBRACING TECHNOLOGY:

There will be a telly screen.

THE RIGHT DEAL FOR LIVERPOOL:

Well, the right deal for the Strax-headed Mayor of Liverpool, anyway.

Thanks for that.

I can't believe they've nicked the Kop "sucking the ball into the net" as their own!!

As has been said, it won't get built
