Is that not what Allardyce does?

Silva hasn't made a career out of keeping the dregs in the top flight. He's actually won a couple of trophies in his short career. Granted, one of them was the Greek league title with Olympiakos (it's pretty hard for Olympiakos to fail to win that league) but still.

Talking to a couple of Blues this morning. They weren't much impressed with Silva. Dyche seems to be the choice, but mainly by default. One said he wouldn't necessarily mind Allardyce in the short term because he thinks the players have lost all discipline and resepct, and Allardyce waould do something about it.

Hahaha, hiring Allardyce is like using C-4 to clean your room.

C-4 or Composition C-4 is a common variety of the plastic explosive family known as Composition C. A similar British plastic explosive, based on RDX but with different plasticizer than Composition C-4, is known as PE-4 (Plastic Explosive No. 4). C-4 is composed of explosives, plastic binder, plasticizer to make it malleable, and usually a marker or odorizing taggant chemical.

Fucking hell. Look at that sentence. What an indictment against modern football and footballers.

Everton’s scattergun approach to finding a new manager is making an even bigger mess

...

Kevin Mirallas and Morgan Schneiderlin have already chosen to walk off the training pitch when challenged by the interim backroom staff over a perceived lack of effort rather than display the humility required to drag the club out of the mire.
