Are they only being like this because they think that Iranian fella is going to spend billions on them. They all now think they can do miles better than Bobby Brown Shoes?

That, and the press keep telling them their first eleven are awesome and should be challenging for the title.

This is a blue who will probably be taken out and shot like that fella who ranted at Saddam Hussein at a Baath party meeting.

Can people please stop calling unveiling banners "Kopite behaviour"? That's nothing but a small club mentality, something our supporters have in droves. It doesn't matter if it's "Kopite behaviour" or not, they protested with banners and petitions and Woy got the sack. It's absolutely shameful that some of you want us to not protest at all, sure, just allow ourselves to plod along in mid-table sniffing around the relegation zone every season!

Some of our supporters really do leave me dumbfounded.

Eh? Fuck me, your touchy today! 'Kopite behaviour' was referring to a thread on GOT last week discussing the banner that was unfurled today, where most of them were calling it Kopite behaviour. Chill out you weirdo.

That's a post on the GoT forum, from an Everton fan. The good doctor was just cutting and pasting it.

It's all gone to shit for Bobby. Remember the optimism from 2014, even though we'd just hammered them four nil at Anfield?

A comparison with Mourinho struck me as I watched Roberto standing on the sideline suffering what was the worst hour of his career.

Remember the 5-0 hammering Barcelona gave Mourinho's Madrid a few years ago. Mourinho deliberately went and stood on the sideline htat night and took the flak, took the ridicule but crucially did not hide away. Bobby reminded me of that last night. Trying to find a way to get us out of the dump without being further mauled but not hiding away in the dugout. Out on the sideline in the rain taking the torrent of humiliation like a man.

Good for him. I am chuffed to bits that such a dignified elegant and articulate football man is the manager of our great great football club. One defeat means nothing. They can have their divers and biters. We have the Grand Old Club that lives in our hearts.

Forza Bobby COYB.

And this.

Bizarre title to this thread, i agree. But having mulled over the game for a solid day or so now, and thought about the result in a every angle imaginable, i've finally come to the conclusion that losing 4 nil to them ********s is actually exactly what we needed! In fact, i'd like to thank Liverpool FC for inspiring us to finish in 4th place this season and in doing so claim a spot in the European Champions League, and here's why.

Going back to the Arsenal game, the match which really made people stand up and take notice, the match which made pundits actually believe Everton are worthy of Champions League football, we were superb on the day. It proved that we really do have a manager and players 100% capable of finishing Everton top of the league, as isn't that exactly what Arsenal are? They didn't play bad. We were just awesome. And we most certainly at least matched them on that day!!! We had become potential title contenders!!

Now, since that game if we look at our performances, the only word which springs to mind is COMPLACENCY! Yes, we beat Fulham 4-1, but not only are they worse than awful, they actually gave us a scare and could easily have gotten back into it. Why? COMPLACENCY! We then went off as cocky as anything, in our last game to complete an entire year without a home defeat, and we lose to the team bottom of the premiership. Again, not because of a lack of quality, but due to utter complacency. We beat Swansea, Southampton and Norwich with, lets face it, less than dazzling performances (not bad, but not great), while we barely managed a last minute draw against a Stoke side that "the pool" smashed 5 past. Moreover, we drew against West Brom in a game in which we looked totally awesome in the first half but then conceded poorly again thanks to a second half display which once again exuded total and utter complacency!

Now, last night. The night which made all us blues suffer an acute dose of severe depression. The reason we lost?... A GIGANTIC FOOTBALLING BIOFILM FILLED WITH ABSOLUTE COMPLACENCY!!!... We went out there wearing boots that were clearly several sizes too small for us, we jogged and pranced about, and we conceded 4 goals which could easily have been more against the ONE TEAM we really can't deal with being beaten by, especially beaten BAD by.

The implications of such a defeat on our fans', our players' and our manager's psyche against any other team would have some effect of course, but losing to Liverpool like that will stay with us until the very moment we exact our revenge! Before every game we play now until the end of this season, we will remember. We will not forget! COMPLACENCY AND EVERTON WILL NO LONGER COINCIDE! We will go into every game now knowing the only way we can get our vengeance, is by finishing ahead of those in the league. And then we will finish ahead of them again, and again, AND AGAIN until losing 4 nil last night becomes a long and distant memory that we will all look back on fondly as the game that kicked us up the ass and drove us on to glory!!!

I feel bad for Villa. I feel bad for any team that has to play us between now and the end of the season. Because as of today Everton are back!!!

Everton lost 5 nil to Liverpool at Goodison Park in 1982. History has a tendency to repeat itself. Look how Everton got on in the 80s after that. Everton wanted vengeance then and by God we will want vengeance now.

So i'll say one last time, thank you Liverpool FC for now ridding us of that one thing that was holding us back.. complacency! You have unleashed the Everton revenge seeking beast! And we will get it! We will finish ahead you and we will one day in the not so distant future win that one trophy you just wish you could your hands on. Give us a few years with this manager and this core group of players and we will win the premiership before you. Oh yes, revenge will be sweet! And you only have yourselves to blame!

COME ON YOU BLUE BOYS!!!

I love digging back into this thread. It's a gift.

You didn't realise he was quoting a Bloo.

But you recognised it as the words of a weirdo, so you were halfway there.

Holy shit one of them refers to Rafa as a Moyes clone!!!!!!!  I can not comprehend that level of fuckwittery.

I would be very surprised if someone hasn't already been approached by Moshiri. Mourinho, Pellegrini or Koeman for me and I can almost guarantee it will be one of them.

That thread is comedy gold. Nearly everyone on there think they're the new Man City or PSG and are gonna outspend and attract the worlds top footballers. They've got a fairly rich lucky half owner who didn't even make his money himself, didn't someone give him it, and all of a sudden they're dreaming of outspending and being more attractive than the 11 teams above them in the PL.

From Toffeetalk :

I think we are the perfect club for mourinho. He's won everything there is- Why would going to man united be a challenge for him? The expectation is they win the league etc and it's job done. No great shakes.

Going to Everton and creating a dynasty is a better way for his career CV imo.

Really? I thought they were born, not manufactured?

As a boy I supported...

Liverpool. As a local lad I used to watch from the Kop when Robbie Fowler was making his name. I started out at Liverpool's Centre of Excellence and although it was disappointing when nothing came of it, I was lucky that both Wigan and Wolves wanted to sign me.

I suppose the lad who posted that in a way is right. Mourinho would be a good fit for them. A bitter and twisted manager taking over a club who's fan base is completely bitter and twisted. It would be like a match made in hell.

The derbies would be fun though...NOT!
