Leeds & Burnley threaten legal action against Everton and Premier League over handling of club's finances - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61529371

I'm not holding out much hope but hopefully the stink will follow them around

Genuinely can't get my noodle around the logic of Alan Stubbs comment about 'this club doesn't know when it's beat' given that they haven't won a trophy since Bill Clinton was getting his weasel greased in the Oval Office. They quite clearly do know what it's like to get beat.

For context they've been beaten 12 more times this season than Joel Matip has in his entire Liverpool career*.

*league games.

I've seen people say if they win something they might stop being bitter. They'd still be bitter twats but they'd just come out with more mental shite like they are doing now.

Even though they all professionally to hate Kenwright they love a soundbite and cliche as much as him.

I popped out earlier in the car and put talkshite on. They had the fella on from the times who broke the story. He was saying there is a will from all the clubs to be seen to do something, not just Leeds and Burnley, especially as Everton spent in January and they knew they were in the shit. But he said there wouldn't be anything that happens this year and could even be a year before any punishment and mightnt be applied till the season after. He said Leeds and Burnley have only asked for a committee to be formed or something to investigate within 6 weeks.

Just a pity it's not the real Paul Joyce, but some 2-bit impersonator.

Two obvious giveaways:

1. COBRA meetings are for emergencies only;

2. Boris cunting Johnson wouldn't bother his arse to attend one even when there is an emergency.

At half time, on the GOT match thread, Lampard was being slated for his lack of tactical nouse. When he has them in lower mid-table next season they’ll be calling for his head.

    • Be silent? Can you stop lying. I literally said he should keep fighting for the oppressed you fucking muppet.    I said he should step down as an MP for the best for the Labour party. I'm not all in on the Labour party but they are the best hope of getting the tories out.
    • Darwin must be used for this type of scrutiny, it's not like the "dark arts" are not prevalent in Portugal or Anderson has invented it this week. He must have had that everyweek in Portugal and he grew up playing football in Uruguay. He was just too hyped up and lost it. He'll be fine. He doesn't have a history of being a head case, it's just he's trying to make a big show on his debut and we've struggled a bit (him included ) and it's all boiled over. While it's disappointing, especially as we dropped points and he's now missing for 3 games, but I don't get the hysteria about it all. He's not the first and he won't be the last player to go over the top.    The only real shame is if you're going to do it, it should be a good enough butt that Anderson goes down like that because he had to, not he was auditioning for the next rocky film.
    • Who cares whether Elliott would or would not start for Palace? Why is that an interesting hypothetical? He's shown some qualities to play here, that's all that matters.    Also, this obsession with pace is starting to make no sense. Casemiro, Kroos, Modric is the slowest midfield around and they've won about 5 European Cups together. People need to get over the pace thing. Elliott is plenty quick enough to play midfield and you don't need to be particularly quick to play midfield. Yes, we could do with more athleticism in there because we've started to lack that profile, but that doesn't eliminate Elliott as an option, that's a separate issue.
    • There's a wake in my local and I might as well be in the  Appalachian mountains as there's some strange looking people, a few cleft lips, uncle mum.
    • She is indeed but where is the opposition? Rachel Reeves is  probably not that far away from her disdain for people on benefits. We've had a poster on this thread today saying Jeremy Corbyn should be retire and be silent. Troubling times.   Who in political circles/parliament is speaking for these people? People are dead though government benefit cuts, this winter thousands upon thousands will also needlessly die through starvation and cold . That's a fact and that's where we are at.
