Moshiri's Iranian whose parents were not loaded. He's described as a 'billionaire' but exactly where his wealth has come from is not clear. I cant see anything that says he built a company and flogged it off for millions never mind billions.

 

He's in league with Usmanov and became his 'minority' partner. Maybe Usmanov loaned him some money to make his fortune but exactly how you turn a couple of hundred million into a billion seems to ask questions.

 

He might just be a front man for Usmanov, er, allegedly. What better way for a 3rd party to launder money than by having a stooge invest it in a football club. Er, allegedly, again!

As far back as the 60's. That's why their shit hole had those half moon barriers behind each goal to keep fans further from the pitch and make it harder to hit opposing players with coins and bottles.

 

They took them away sometime in the early 90's I think as they said they werent needed. I think they need to rebuild them.

Yeah, I'm sure the value does go up. But he's sinking in a lot of money, so he must be loads out of pocket and the team is in a worse state than when he arrived by some considerable distance. And if they go down, their value vanishes. I honestly can't see anyway this is all makes sense unless it is laundering. Maybe they've got some master plan around the stadium that isn't clear at the moment, so it's all about getting there for commercial reasons.

Rafa wouldn't have lasted as long as he did though had they lost that one. In fact he might have lost his job that day. As it is, it's effectively February and they're manageress and if results stay the same, just 4 points above relegation. We'd have all taken that at the start of the season. In fact we'd have taken it after the derby.
