A theory:

 

Rafa has been brought in to asset strip. The club are up shit  creak with FFP and their general finances. 

 

There's no way that Bill and Moshiri can sell Digne, Richarlison and DCL without massive fan backlash. Enter Benitez. 

 

Who better to take the ire of the fans then Rafa who is falling out with the clubs stars and forcing them to leave? January will see a big departure to balance the books and Rafa will get the blame. 

 

He's there until the end of the season at least.

A few blues have got into their heads and thats justifying how shit they're playing. 10 touches Richarlison had then he's walking off the pitch punching the badge to the fans as if he's some hero. I noticed him holding his calf towards the end of the first half. He usually holds bits of his body with his usual dis-interested demeanour. Can imagine the likes of Ferguson have blue mates who have got it through to the players. Excuse for them to keep taking thousands a week out the club while still being shit.
