The £45m includes £15m to preserve heritage parts of the site and surrounding areas (which I do not have problem with) and £30m towards their preparatory costs (which I very much do). This comes from the Mersey Region authority.

I'm not sure if the £400m includes that £45m but if it does, I'm assuming the remainder or the full £400m is coming out of Moshiri's pockets.

They then have a further £350m loan. And that's assuming the build and costs don't escalate. I'll be interested to see some real work begin and not just the crowd-pleasing stuff.

According to this Echo article from 2018 the initial cost was £300 and a year later it had already risen to £500 million so fuck knows what it could be now

From that list Sunderland got a bargain really so it’s even more mad how they ended up so financially shit. The millennium stadium also is excellent for the spend.

I love that we remained at anfield and it really was for the best but you’d think if Moores and parry had a bit more financial sense we could have expanded or moved to a bigger stadium maybe we wouldn’t have been so far behind.

A bit of light entertainment.

Player Valuation: £70m

Because we have a game in a few days which is more important.

Its 5 weeks into the season.

And why is Saturday more important? After surrendering the cup, anything less than a top 6 finish in the league will be pathetic from the "manager" now.
