Strange one.  I’ve just read on the echo “the update” regarding funding which isn’t really anything new at all.  They quote the chief exec from her statement saying they’re still pursuing funding opportunities and list off the same shite they’ve said now about 5 times.

Interestingly though the echo article includes “funding supported by the city council” in the list.  If you click on the actual statement on the Everton it doesn’t say this anywhere.

It’s funny that when they go quiet on the funding for months at a time you then get all those creeps on GOT saying funding is secured or it was secured ages ago etc but then at every AGM they release the same vague statement which clearly shows they haven’t got the funding secured at all.

"No way Bayern let him go if he's fit and reliable."

They "let him go" because he was in the final year of his contract and he told them he wasn't going to sign another one, you fucking mental blue cunts.

If Messi had played for Liverpool instead of Barcelona and won the same amount of trophies and scored the same amount of goals Evertonians would still think Big Dunc was better than him.

£50m before even planning permission has been obtained.

Could end up being about £700m in total.

I've said all along, it's stunning the similarities between this and H&G and their plans. Millions haemorrhaging out the door for what seems absolutely nothing.

Some tit Evertonian on my Facebook said "they paid £30m for the land dickheads". Even though they agreed to lease the land off Peel once planning permission was granted.

Another 5 years and they still wont twig on that it's all bollocks.

£50M is a lot of money for a waterpolo stand. How many spectators would it hold?

On the plus side, at least there's no obstructed views.

What difference does it make if they play in a brand new stadium or the rickety old Goodison Park? Success comes from the pitch and hiring a top manager(which they have) and all a new stadium will do is force them to have to let go of that manager and their saleable players. Its the Everton Way.

Because, in their minds, a brand new rectangle of grass to kick a ball about on and some seats so people can watch you do it will sweep all of our history, all of our trophies, all of our glory aside and elevate them above us to be the number one team in the city.

Which it obviously won't.

Its going to be cold as fuck and stink around that stadium if it gets built. I hope they do build it, better than what it is now as long as its not tax payers money.

I remember a John Oliver segment talking about how sports stadiums dont regenerate areas though beyond the actual area itself looking different.
