I was also at both, no one round me  could understand why Thomas disallowed that ”goal” but thank christ he did, replay was a true indication of how much better than them we were, as one-sided as the replay against Leicester in ’74.

I can't believe that they go on about it so much. It was an FA cup semi final. 

 

Look at all the dodgy decisions that have gone against Liverpool in big or decisive games. Yet our fans dont harp on about them and go off on one every time the referee's name is mentioned.

Exactly mate. Can think of league cup final against Forest and Wimbledon in the FA cup final, couldn't name the refs or even the players involved.

December 2013 at the Etihad, Sterling had a perfectly good goal disallowed for the most ridiculous "offside" call ever. If nothing else that season changed - if we still had Gerrard's slip and the Palace 3-3 - we would have been champions, if that lino and ref had just done their jobs with a basic degree of competence.
