It's already a nice gesture.  Any money the Slops make from this is a bonus on top of what they've budgeted for.

It's the quintessential paper-never-refused-ink take, but the manner in which the idea that smaller clubs are dependent on money-spinning Cup ties is presented without criticism really grinds my gears.

Corona Virus Update

There is no-one who is infected coming to Merseyside
Anyone who shows any symptoms whatsoever will not be allowed on the plane.
These are British Citizens being brought home.
Liverpool has been at the forefront of tropical medicine and infectious diseases for over 100 years.
Merseyside has the best quarantine facilities in the country.
This is not a conspiracy.
This is not a plot by the Government to kill us all off.
This is not a plot by the FA to stop Liverpool winning the league.
It is the best and only scenario to bring people home and to keep anything untoward contained.
Now share this instead of all the doom and gloom posts

And if you want to know where the quarantine facility is.........

It's Evertons Trophy Room.........Nothing ever gets in there

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti says there was no "official offer" for Richarlison, despite reports of the Toffees rejecting an £85m bid from Barcelona.

You don't have to get a bid to turn it down but....

Gilly Bollockagme said the same thing during his BBC Q&A yesterday.

William to kid;

' Said the Newcastle goal wasn't his fault and that his defenders left him short-handed , had to bite down on ones tongue. Didn't even have the heart to mention the Deliveroo ads '

They sold a left-back to Wigan six months ago for £2m, and AC Milan were prepared to pay £10m for him in this transfer window. That is pure Everton, that.

He has gone to AC Milan today hasn't he?

EDIT: Its fallen through

WIGAN STATEMENT ON ROBINSON DEAL COLLAPSE

Wigan have moved quickly to put out a statement on Antonee Robinson after his move to AC Milan collapsed moments ago, explaining what caused the deal to fall apart.

They wrote: "Wigan Athletic defender Antonee Robinson will remain at the DW Stadium after his move to AC Milan could not be completed.

"Robinson, 22, travelled to Milan this morning after the two clubs agreed a fee for the permanent transfer on Thursday evening.

"The USA international underwent a medical examination with AC Milan, though further medical tests with the Italian authorities were required, which were subject to a 72-hour deadline.

"As such, the deal could not be formally ratified before the 8pm Italian Transfer Deadline on Friday."

They stopped Richarlison from going to Barca so that's like a new signing.

Ancelotti confirmed there was no bid from Barca. Still, it kept them happy and the club didn’t have to pay Dan Meiss anything for it.

Milan halted it when they saw he spelt his Christian name, Antonee.
