If they beat us in the derby and we still win the league I could see some heads exploding.

Be great if we won the league after beating them twice. We could be all like 'thanks for the points lid' and then stand back and watch the fireworks. It'd be like the iconic scene from Kingsman.

Why then are they not questioned on it? They lose to 2 of the newly promoted teams and are utter garbage and yet not a squeak about how they should be doing a lot better considering the money they have spent.

Truth is they not only spent badly but spent a lot of that just when the transfer prices almost doubled. A lot of that wasted cash sits as 'equity' placed on the club by their ever so generous tax avoider owner investor. They have probably spent more on shite than they are worth in total. If you take in to consideration the 'equity' loaded on the club they are probably worth nothing so quite where more than half a billion in loans for a stadium is coming from is anyone's guess. Their tv money is tied to a Chinese loan so they would not be repaying it from that just yet.

Still COYB later today, if you can keep it under 5 that would help a lot, city goals that is.

To me it shows they are a complete irrelevance to anyone outside of the club and fanbase. Nobody else is arsed about them.

I looked it up, 'cos the figure seemed too high, plus it's from the Mail... It's actually about right- there's a list of the players they've bought over the last 4 years below. Cast offs and hopeful punts for the most part, there's not a single one I'd want ahead of any of our players. Even with the recent transfer fee inflation, there are very few who are actually worth more than they paid for them. A waste of money on an absolutely epic scale.

I'd sign Pickford for a laugh and stick him in the reserves and place the biscuit tin on the top shelf.

Seriously, their best player is probably Richarlison who spends half the time on the floor because he's a diving cunt, also blows hot and cold. It really is a shit list.

Many will be on a pretty big wedge as well.

I fear for them, I really do.

In the past you could see they had players who could get them out of a relegation scrap, you don't see that in this squad, they haven't got the balls. Fingers crossed.

The panic that brought Allardyce has bitten them hard, he generally buys shite on long high wage contracts (Tocsun) and when he leaves most of the time the club is relegated.

Bolton

Blackburn

Sunderland

Newcastle

West Ham

Of course in the case of Allardyce and relegation following correlation does not equate to causation, those clubs are bad enough that they required him.

They do seem to have their shite on long contracts (and I'm not saying he haven't been guilty of that, everyone has) but they don't seem to have the turn over for that to continue.

It’s almost as if he has a financial incentive through unauthorised channels to do so...

I've always said that they'll be like the team you're beating ten nil down the park ,when you were young ,and someone says "next goal wins" and the losing side gets it and celebrates like the 300 Spartans at the battle of thermopylae

They've about as much chance of winning as the spartans at Themopylae.
