Imagine some little Bloo kid who dotes on Richarlison.

"Granddad, who's Clive Thomas?"

"A referee who gave a decision against us 42 years ago, son."

It's so absurd it's even a joke to them...

When did they start referring to Goodison as the old lady?  It’s the funniest thing I’ve heard out of them for years.

I think they also use the term when referring to the club being the first in existence in Liverpool. As they became more and more insignificant these last few years, they had to find something to cling to as a reminder that their club is the 'senior' one in the city.

But, seeing as they 'stole' the song Grand old Team from Celtic, stealing the 'old lady' term comes easy to them.

Cringeworthy cunts have been sucking up to Man City with this #freezouma shite saying that Everton helped them win the league so they have to help them by getting that trending on Twitter.

When did they lose their dignity and start sucking the Mancs off?. They obviously don't mind being called scouse bastards and bindippers by them.

Is Kean that good? Or is he just a young Lukaku? Decent signing on paper but smells a bit like he was played last season to put him in the shop window. Oh and Silva said that he's gone from one big club to another. He's using the David Moyes method of Everton fan crowd control. Surely, it won't be long before he uses the people's club phrase and that all their problems are our fault.

KEAN 'PROUD' TO WEAR EVERTON SHIRT

Moise Kean says he is proud to join Everton and wants to bring his winning attitude to a club that matches his ambition.

“I am very proud and honoured to wear the Everton shirt. I will give my best to this team,” Kean told evertontv.

“I was convinced to sign because Everton is a club looking to the future and so am I. I know about the size of the Club. It has big ambition and I will work very hard to help us fulfil what we want to achieve.

“I am used to winning and I want to bring this winning attitude to the team. I hope I will be very good on the field and bring the fans joy.”

Everton manager Marco Silva added: “A striker was one of our priority signings this summer. Moise is strong, fast, with many good qualities as a striker and he is just 19 years old. He has talent and he is ready to work, ready to improve our squad and gives us different solutions.

“He was at a big club, now he’s come to another big club and is ready to fight for this challenge and to give everything to Everton.”

Good signing for them. They've got a bit of cash, and have wasted large amounts on Walcott and co. They need to accept they won't swagger into the top six by convincing themselves that big clubs' cast-offs are actually decent (see also: Delph). The only way they'll build anything is by signing decent youngsters who'll use them as a stepping stone, getting game time, developing and then moving on.

If they were honest with themselves and just embraced that, they could actually get somewhere.
