*Shakes head* Everton again.

My understanding is there has always been a particularly deep level of animosity between Everton and Milwall - when I was a kid there were rumours of lads being chucked off the flyover.  My Everton mates told me about a Millwall banner being unfurled at an FA Cup game in the 80s that read "God, in the next round please give us Everton".

I knew there'd be trouble today.

Horrible scenes.

I wonder if it will curb the moralising from the Esk and others about how great Everton and the picnic-packing, tea-flask drinking, charabanc riding away-day supporters he thinks they have, are.

From the Echo about a smashed up bus. It's probably not a great idea to goad Millwall fans, to be fair...

"One Everton fan, who was on another bus, described how fellow fans had been banging on the inside windows and making gestures to the Millwall contingent. He said: "They were saying, 'come on, we aren't scared of you' type of thing. Then the Millwall fans smashed the windows on the bus."

Got to laugh at the fella who says that only thing Everton are good at is being able to "beat the dross at home".

It's a shame. I was hoping they could stuck with him a little longer. I votes for him to stay.

There was trouble too? Everton? No chance, they never do anything wrong. Even in the 80s they would just let themselves get stamped on as they're such I've chaps fighting back would only encourage more trouble and would clearly be kopite behaviour.

No fucking chance.

And of course at the next opportunity they get they will use the deaths of people during football violence as a stick to beat us with, and be totally oblivious to the fact that the violence their supporters have engaged in could also (but luckily has not) led to people dying.

In the good old no holds barred 1970’s a few Millwall fans got stabbed in the toilets at goodison. It caused no end of grief for the irons as they began calling their fanzine ‘ please let it be Everton ‘. They hate Everton so that will be sweet for them tonight. West Ham got fucked as well so double joy for good old Harry the dog and his nonsensical cohorts. The super blues are indeed the gift that keeps on giving. God bless their bitter blue cotton socks. Their season now rides on how we do. Not them. Marvellous

They didn’t help themselves by going into the home end. They knew what they were up to. Bragging rights later on back home if they got escorted out before the kick off. Unfortunately It kicked off early for them. Goodison has never been a welcoming place. Unless you’re Man City going for the title against the red shite murdering bastards.
