The planning application for Anfield to be used for concerts has been knocked back.

For some reason, the blues are gloating about this and that money and events will go to Manchester etc instead of Liverpool.

They're so bloody weird.

They love mancs....loads of them would prefer to see money flow there rather than their own city if it means they can sneer at us.

I don't want to go to Anfield to see a gig. Anfield is sacred ground.

McCartney was great, though.

It was funny, and a little bit sad, watching people either pointing out, or indeed going to sit in their match day seats.

Er, including myself...

Player Valuation: £35m

They’re doing ok. Played an awful West Ham team and unconvincing in the other two games. Looks a little like they’ve been found out to me. Need the same luck with injuries that they had last season to challenge for top 4.

So, we just need to lose Gomez, Matip, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lallana and Sturridge for long periods - and our entire first-choice midfield for the run-in - to challenge for top 4.

Deadwood we can't get rid of we'll lose on frees - makes sense. Evertonian sense - where reality is warped and bent to suit whatever shite they're chatting.

On a free you say, I mean it’s not like we managed to get nigh on £30m for a goalie and a striker who had less than 20 first team appearances for us over 3 seasons.

If that’s all we can do with our over-the-hill beyond their peak pacy attackers and deadwood then by crikey we’re fucked!!!

Further evidence of the growing demand to watch Everton live. The youngsters in tonight's crowd are the future season ticket holders. Yet another indication of the future demand when we move, anything less than 60,000 will be too small. https://t.co/FvGlfigRyP

Only an Evertonian could brag about getting 31,000 for a league cup game in a 42,000 capacity stadium giving loads of tickets to kids for a fiver then claim they could fill a 60,000 capacity stadium.

They are truly bizarre people living in a parallel universe.
