*Shakes head* Everton again.

Reading about the latest 'issues' with Spurs and their new ground, it made me grateful that Liverpool, more by accident than design, avoided going down that road. Which then got me wondering: do any of you know any Bloos - just one! - who will admit to wanting to stay where they are?

None. Not that it matters as they aren’t going anywhere soon.

Article on Usmanov.

Interestingly, one of the comments below the article included a link to this Craig Murray blog (title is Alisher Usmanov, potential Arsenal chairman, is a Vicious Thug, Criminal, Racketeer, Heroin Trafficker and Accused Rapist- it was written in 2007), which is particularly damning of Usmanov- that link has now been removed by a moderator as has a follow up comment saying how to search for it.

New stadiums appear to be an nth degree version of going for a disproportionately lavish wedding.

Great for one day and showing off the pictures, but the buzz fades and they financially handicap all but the most wealthy for years as day-to-day life kicks back in.

His Lawyers have whitewashed his past the best they can. As bad a person as you can get.

Everton are'nt we.

Might be worth someone getting that link on GOT, and asking, in a concern troll sort of way, whether a club with such a clean, Corinthian history would accept a fucking pig like Usmanov as owner.

He will only want to make money if he did get on board. Proper billionaire owner means no Council loan. He would'nt pay for a stadium.

Will people stop asking whether Everton's new owners will pay for their ground? The Sultan of Brunei could buy Everton - grew up on County Road la - and the city council will still borrow the money to pay for the ground because by doing so Everton will be doing the city council a favour, capisce?

Does anyone honestly believe evertonians would give a fuck if theyre owned by an alleged murdering gangster/drug dealing rapist. Well according to Craig Murray he is anyway.

They will cure him, bring him into the fold, admonish him and give him re- birth in the Royal blue Mersey. Hallelujah!

Toffedan doesn’t understand why, given our UEFA coefficient is tied with Schalke and Kiev, why we have spawned an extra point out of ‘somewhere’ for last seasons campaign, just for like, y’know, getting to the Final! Oh and Benfica, oviously with Uefa Redshite bias, have got Benfica playing the 2nd leg away in Greece. It’s amazing some of the stuff they find out about us. I sometimes find GOT more efficient for news, gossip, basic info about us, than even on here.

Champions League news.. and, no doubt, all the Kopites will be glued to the outcome of the Benfica - PAOK Champions League qualifier tie. Benfica are seeded to progress (into Pot 2, holding a higher coefficient than YKW). Naturally though, if they fail, The Spawny Kopites will benefit to the tune of a Pot 2 place.. I need hardly tell you that Benfica have the tricky second leg away in Greece nor indeed that, tied with Dinamo Kyiv and Schalke04 they spawn the higher ranking based on last season's results (i.e. an extra ranking point somewhere in their campaign). All this means they are bound to face Lokomotiv Moscow, Victoria Plzen and Videoton in the Group Stages as opposed to Barca, Napoli and a tricky trip to Galatasaray (for example).

Everton? Worse European record than Brendan Rodgers? Fucked up in a group containing Atalanta, Lyon and Apollon Limassol? Had fans trying to fight opposition players while holding an infant? That Everton?
